Afghanistan cricket team’s India tour dates out; one Test, three ODIs on itinerary - Telegraph India
Afghanistan will kick off their upcoming tour of India with a one-off Test match, followed by three one-day internationals in June, the BCCI said Monday. Israel-US strike fallout: MHA alerts states to monitor pro-Iran radical preachers, boost security at US and Israeli missions
In the wake of the Israel-US attack on Iran, the Union Home Ministry has directed all states and Union Territories to intensify surveillance on pro-Iran radical preachers and extremist elements, warning that global developments could trigger domestic law-and-order challenges. According to officials, the Ministry circulated a letter to all states on February 28 asking them to closely monitor pro-Iran radical preachers making inflammatory statements that could potentially incite violence. The circular further directed authorities to strengthen security at consulates, embassies, and other diplomatic offices of the United States and Israel within their jurisdictions. Additional security cover has also been advised for other entities linked to the two countries to prevent any untoward incident and maintain peace and tranquillity. The advisory comes amid heightened tensions following the reported death of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a US-Israel strike.

Centre asks states to keep eye on 'pro-Iran radical preachers' delivering 'inflammatory' sermons
NEW DELHI: The Union Home Ministry has asked states to keep an eye on pro-Iran radical preachers giving inflammatory statements that may result in violence in the wake of the Israel-US attack on Iran, officials said. In a letter circulated to all states on February 28, the Ministry also asked all states and UTs to keep vigil on social media activities of extremists and global terror group handles, they said. Advising the states to ensure that no law-and-order issues arise, the ministry has asked the states to heighten vigilance, as global events might have a domestic ripple effect through rhetorical statements, they said.

जागरण संवाददाता, नई दिल्ली। सोमवार सुबह राजधानी में उस समय हड़कंप मच गया, जब अलग-अलग इलाकों के 4 स्कूलों और एक बैंक को ईमेल के जरिये बम से उड़ाने की धमकी मिली। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस और सुरक्षा एजेंसियां मौके पर पहुंच गईं और सभी स्थानों पर सर्च ऑपरेशन शुरू कर दिया गया।सुबह 8 से साढ़े 9 बजे के बीच मिला धमकी वाला ईमेल सुबह करीब आठ बजे से साढ़े नौ बजे के बीच दिल्ली कैंट स्थित आर्मी पब्लिक स्कूल, मयूर विहार का सलवान पब्लिक स्कूल, जनकपुरी का मीरा पब्लिक स्कूल, बल्लीमारान स्थित राबिया गर्ल्स स्कूल और बरामखंबा रोड स्थित स्टेट्समैन हाउस में एक्सिस बैंक को धमकी भरे संदेश मिले।छात्रों और स्टाफ को सुरक्षित स्थान पर भेजा धमकी मिलने के बाद स्कूल परिसरों को एहतियातन खाली कराया गया। छात्रों और स्टाफ को सुरक्षित स्थान पर भेजा गया, जबकि बम निरोधक दस्ता और डॉग स्क्वॉड की टीमों ने गहन तलाशी अभियान शुरू किया। बैंक परिसर की भी बारीकी से जांच की जा रही है।

Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty crashed in early trade on Monday tracking a sharp spike in crude oil prices amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. The 30-share BSE Sensex tanked 2,743.46 points or 3.37 per cent to 78,543.73 in early trade. The 50-share NSE Nifty tumbled 533.55 points or 2.11 per cent to 24,645.10. On Friday, the Sensex tanked 961.42 points or 1.17 per cent to settle at 81,287.19. The Nifty tumbled 317.90 points or 1.25 per cent to end at 25,178.65.

जागरण संवाददाता, पटना। मध्य-पूर्व में बढ़ते तनाव का असर अब हवाई यात्राओं पर भी साफ दिखने लगा है। पटना से कनेक्टिंग फ्लाइट के जरिए खाड़ी देशों की यात्रा करने वाले 150 से अधिक यात्रियों ने अपनी टिकटें रद करा दी हैं।इनमें वे यात्री शामिल हैं जो पटना से दिल्ली, कोलकाता, चेन्नई और हैदराबाद होते हुए दुबई, कतर, कुवैत, बहरीन और ओमान जाने वाले थे। एयरलाइंस सूत्रों के अनुसार एक और दो मार्च की बुकिंग वाले यात्रियों ने एहतियातन अपने टिकट कैंसिल करा दिए हैं। कुछ यात्रियों ने आगे की तारीखों के लिए टिकट री-शेड्यूल कराई है, जबकि कई लोगों ने पूरा रिफंड लेना बेहतर समझा।बताया जा रहा है कि संबंधित क्षेत्र के एयरस्पेस से गुजरने वाली कई उड़ानों को अस्थायी रूप से रद या परिवर्तित किया गया है, जिससे यात्रियों में अनिश्चितता की स्थिति बनी हुई है। पटना एयरपोर्ट से प्रत्यक्ष अंतरराष्ट्रीय उड़ानें नहीं होने के कारण अधिकांश यात्री अन्य महानगरों से कनेक्टिंग फ्लाइट पकड़ते हैं। चिंता का माहौल मौजूदा हालात को देखते हुए ट्रैवल एजेंसियों के पास लगातार पूछताछ हो रही है और लोग स्थिति सामान्य होने का इंतजार कर रहे हैं। इधर, खाड़ी देशों में काम करने वाले प्रवासी भारतीयों के परिवारों में भी चिंता का माहौल है।
