Last month, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, highlighted the issue of court delays. Effective case management, involving clear timelines for filing documents, conducting witness examinations, scheduling hearings, and limiting adjournments, are crucial. Court scheduling and case management have long been challenges within the Indian judiciary, significantly contributing to delays. Court scheduling issues are deeply rooted in the complex interplay of these motivations. The Supreme Court of India and various High Courts have criticised this trend, noting that such directives often disrupt case management in district courts.

Noble idea behind the Nobel PrizeThe Nobel Prizes originated from one guilt-ridden scientist’s final will and testament — Alfred Nobel, inventor of dynamite. “They’re generally captivated and interested in science, not because they want to win a Nobel Prize,” she told DW. AdvertisementLack of diversity in Nobel PrizesThe biggest criticisms of the Nobel Prizes relate to their lack of diversity and bias toward Western scientific institutions. And very few people from countries outside Europe and the US have won a Nobel Prize. And certainly, Nobel Prize committees are not as inclusive as they need to be,” said Dasgupta.

The World Development Report 2024 — authored by the World Bank — calls attention to the phenomenon of the “middle-income” trap, or the slowing down of growth rates as incomes increase. Over the last 34 years, only 34 middle-income economies — defined as economies with per capita incomes between $1,136 and $13,845 — have transitioned to higher income levels. In the modern economy, there are plenty of headwinds that India must overcome to successfully navigate the middle-income trap. Another economy that broke the middle-income trap was Chile. An economy cannot break a middle-income trap if workers are unable to partake in the growth process, as reduced consumption demand will become a drag on the economy.

Advertisement“Today, the state government of Assam in partnership with the Tata group will make Assam a major player in sophisticated semiconductors. But the real breakthrough, and the crown jewel in many ways, is the chip fabrication plant that the Tatas are setting up as it signifies a big step up in India’s production capabilities. Fabs are the highly specialised semiconductor manufacturing facilities that print the miniaturised integrated circuits from the chip design into the silicon wafers. The fabrication process is intricate and requires clean rooms designed to maintain sterile conditions to prevent contamination by air particles.

It followed that hiding misdeeds, like war crimes and other forms of mass violence, would now be almost impossible. There has been no mass global upsurge to match the scale of the atrocities being inflicted in Gaza and Lebanon. AdvertisementToday, we live in a time of information overload, including graphic images of human suffering. This is despite the British government’s “Iraq Inquiry” by Sir John Chilcot which concluded, in 2016, that the invasion of Iraq had been unnecessary. Nevertheless, in 2017, British courts ruled that Tony Blair should not face prosecution for his role in the Iraq war.

A geomagnetic storm lit up the night sky in parts of the US during the first weekend in October. A geomagnetic storm is a disturbance in the earth’s magnetic field caused by solar activity. But when they do, they collide with the earth’s magnetic field, disrupt it, and lead to a geomagnetic storm. Geomagnetic storms are not typically harmful to humans directly, but they can pose risks to modern technology and infrastructure. Monitoring alone can’t prevent all the damage caused by geomagnetic storms.

Some of the other things that probably come naturally to me and I don't really focus too much on that. With regards to that, I really need to be on top of my game, especially with what format I am playing at that time.
