I am daydreaming scenarios of peaceful revolution, something akin to the best parts of the ’60s and ’70s, which although had moments of violence and trouble, led to major changes in civil rights, women’s rights, environmental protection. It’s strange, I think, but it’s true – these are the scenarios that fill my brain night after night as the stars wheel across the sky. As one of those great philosophers put it, “Our daydreams tell us the extent to which we are not living.”When I was younger, I daydreamed about finding love — because love is what I most wanted. Daydreams do serious work – studies show they reduce stress, increase creativity, forecast dangers, and help us dream up possibilities. I spend 80% of my awake hours daydreaming, and I daydream no matter what else I’m doing.

Q: I am tired of fighting with my 9-year-old about chores. For years and years, I used something called Real-World Workshop in my classroom. Most families find that a Real-World Workshop dry erase board on the fridge works well. Kid Whisperer walks to a room where people may be acting more pleasantly. When we avoid lectures and just let Real-World Workshop do its job, it encourages hard work while maintaining the kid-parent relationship!

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi led a procession near the Motijheel Ideal School and College as the opposition party’s nationwide blockade programme resumed for the fourth time. “[The government] cannot stop the peaceful blockade programme, which aims to re-establish the people's right to vote, by naming our leaders and activists in false cases and arresting them along with the general people. We’re holding a peaceful programme and our leaders and activists will remain on the streets,” Rizvi said before the march began. The ruling party activists are burning buses and engaging in sabotage during the blockade while blaming the BNP, Rizvi claimed as he urged activists to remain vigilant. Rizvi led a procession of 15 to 20 leaders and activists including Rafiqul Islam, Parvez Reza Kakon and Mahbubul Islam at 7 am on Sunday.
