Two Jubo Dal activists arrested over arson attack on bus, police vehicle
Police have arrested two activists of the BNP’s youth front Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal on charges of setting a police vehicle and a bus on fire amid clashes during the party’s Oct 28 rally in Dhaka. Tensions brew as Chhatra Dal activists lock DU gates during blockade
The leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, the student wing of the BNP, locked various gates of Dhaka University and displayed banners and posters on the campus during a fresh 48-hour blockade announced by the opposition group. Chhatra Dal leader arrested over crude bomb blast in Uttara amid blockade
A Chhatra Dal leader has been arrested in connection with a crude bomb explosion in Uttara’s Abdullahpur during the fresh 48-hour blockade called by the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami. Kazi Mohammad Hasan, a former vice president of the BNP's student front in Gazipur, was apprehended on Sunday, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner Mirza Salahuddin.
