बकाया वेतन की मांग को लेकर सोमवार 14 अक्टूबर की रात आठ बजे से जिले में 108 एंबुलेंस चालक व इमरजेंसी मेडिकल टेक्निशियन हड़ताल पर चले जायेंगे. यह घोषणा 108 एंबुलेंस का संचालन कर रही एजेंसी इएमआरआइ ग्रीन हेल्थ सर्विस के कर्मियों ने की है. एंबुलेंस कर्मियों ने बताया कि वे सभी इएमआरआइ ग्रीन एजेंसी के माध्यम से 108 एंबुलेंस सेवा प्रदान कर रहे है. जरूरत पड़ने पर निजी अस्पतालों के एंबुलेंस का भी इस्तेमाल होगा. जबकि अन्य जिले के सभी प्रखंडाें से मरीजाें काे मेडिकल काॅलेज व अस्पताल व जिला अस्पताल तक पहुंचाने के लिए हैं.

A city that floats
In a city built on water, you can cruise along beautiful canals instead of bumpy roads and admire splendid historical buildings at every corner. Then came the buildings built of brick to keep them light and to allow for some swaying. Spread over 120 islands, the buildings gradually started coming closer and closer to form one large interconnected city, connected by criss-crossing canals and bridges. IT freshers’ salaries stagnant but that of CEOs rise
Data from specialist staffing company Xpheno revealed that in 2013-2014, engineering freshers received offer packages ranging from ₹3 to ₹3.4 LPA. For example, in Frontend programming skills, React.js salaries fell by around 1.5 LPA for employees with up to 1 year of experience. “Companies are more eager to hire and retain seasoned tech talent rather than invest in training freshers,” he said. HCL tech CEO C. Vijayakumar received ₹84.16 crore in FY24, compared to former CEO Anant Gupta’s ₹4.22 crore in FY14. Former Wipro CEO T K Kurien was paid ₹6.57 crore in the same fiscal year, while current CEO Srini Pallia earned around ₹50 crore.

India’s renewable energy capacity crosses 200-GW mark
If you add 8,180 MW of nuclear capacity to this, the country’s total non-fossil fuel-based power capacity stands at 46.3 per cent of the total installed electricity generation capacity. Rajasthan (31.5 GW), Gujarat (28.3 GW), Tamil Nadu (23.7 GW) and Karnataka (22.3 GW), are the top four states in renewable energy capacity, according to data provided by the Central Electricity Authority. RE projects hurt by grid-acheRenewable energy projects globally are increasing but not quite on the trajectory to meet the ambition of “tripling of global renewable energy capacity by 2030” — from 2022. The IEA report on renewable energy finds that current trends would take the global capacity to 9,760 GW, or 2.7 times increase from 2022.

Mcap of seven of top-10 most valued firms erode by Rs 1.22 lakh crore; TCS, Reliance biggest laggards

ITC's valuation dropped Rs 18,761.4 crore to Rs 6,10,933.66 crore, while that of Hindustan Unilever Ltd's mcap was down Rs 16,047.71 crore to Rs 6,53,315.60 crore. The market capitalisation (mcap) of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) tanked Rs 13,946.62 crore to Rs 6,00,179.03 crore and that of ICICI Bank eroded Rs 11,363.35 crore to Rs 8,61,696.24 crore. However, Bharti Airtel added Rs 26,330.84 crore, taking its market valuation to Rs 9,60,435.16 crore. The mcap of Infosys climbed Rs 6,913.33 crore to Rs 8,03,440.41 crore and that of State Bank of India was up Rs 3,034.36 crore to Rs 7,13,968.95 crore.

China launches fresh war games around Taiwan to warn against 'independence'
China's military began a new round of military drills near Taiwan on Monday in what it said was a warning against "separatist acts by Taiwan independence forces." Democratically-governed Taiwan, which China regards as its own territory, had been on alert for more war games since President Lai Ching-te's National Day speech last week. In his speech, Lai vowed to "resist annexation" of the island, and insisted Beijing and Taipei were "not subordinate to each other." Beijing condemned the speech after Lai said China had no right to represent Taiwan, even as he offered cooperation with Beijing. China held the Joint Sword-2024A exercises around Taiwan for two days in May, shortly after Lai took office.

Air India Mumbai-New York flight diverted to Delhi after bomb threat
