Google yet to restore apps like BharatMatrimony and KuKu FM in its Play Store
Google on Friday night deleted some of the popular Indian sites from its Play Store citing Google Play billing system (GBPS). Other apps like KuKu FM have also not been restored in the Play Store, while Shaadi.com is back. In the Play Store, while looking for BharaMatrimony or KuKu FM, a message pops up saying, “this app isn’t available”. Janakiraman said in a social media post that there were news reports mentioning Google to restore apps on Play Store after IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s intervention. Google does not offer any special services for digital services apps compared to other commercial digital apps such as e-commerce apps, B2B apps and food delivery apps.

चुनावी महासमर: राष्ट्र की समस्याएं सुनती है नई दिल्ली, अपनी ही समस्याओं का समाधान नहीं
जागरण संवाददाता, नई दिल्ली। साल 2019 में हुए लोकसभा चुनाव से पूर्व दैनिक जागरण ने करीब दो माह तक एनसीआर के 13 लोकसभा क्षेत्रों के अनेक मतदाताओं से तय फार्मेट में उनका अपना घोषणा पत्र मांगा था और उसे प्रतिदिन अखबार में प्रकाशित किया था। चुनाव हो जाने के बाद इन घोषणा पत्रों को संकलित कर इनमें सामने आए केंद्र सरकार से संबंधित तीन प्रमुख मुद्दे और प्रादेशिक व क्षेत्रीय स्तर के तीन-तीन मुद्दे चयनित कर उन्हें जागरण घोषणा पत्र के रूप में एक एजेंडे के तौर पर नवनिर्वाचित सांसद को सौंपा गया था, ताकि वो उसपर काम करें और इसका क्षेत्र को लाभ मिले।अब पांच साल बाद जब फिर से लोकसभा चुनाव होने जा रहे हैं, दैनिक जागरण इस मौके पर प्रत्येक लोकसभा क्षेत्र के सांसद को सौंपे गए जागरण घोषणा पत्र में दर्ज मुद्दों के मामले में हुई प्रगति की पड़ताल कर रहा है। आइए पहले दिन देखते हैं कि जागरण घोषणा पत्र के केंद्र सरकार से जुड़े मुद्दों में क्या प्रगति हुई। पेश है नई दिल्ली संसदीय क्षेत्र की रिपोर्ट...कई परेशानी हुई खत्म, फिर भी सुधार की जरूरतवस्तु एवं सेवा कर (जीएसटी) एक जुलाई 2017 को लागू हुआ था। पूरे देश में एक टैक्स प्रणाली से व्यापारियों को कई परेशानियां हुई थीं। इसके साथ ही टैक्स दरों में एकरूपता और समानता भी नहीं थी। जीएसटी को ऑनलाइन भरने और इसमें गलती होने पर जुर्माने के प्रविधान से भी व्यापारी परेशान थे। समय के साथ केंद्र सरकार ने जीएसटी जमा करने में कई सुधार किए। टैक्स दरें भी संतुलित कीं, लेकिन नई दिल्ली के व्यापारी इसमें और सुधार की मांग कर रहे हैं।नई दिल्ली ट्रेडर्स एसोसिएशन के सचिव विक्रम बधवार ने कहा कि कनॉट प्लेस, करोल बाग, खान मार्केट जैसे प्रमुख बाजार व्यापार का गढ़ हैं। देशभर में यहां से वस्तुएं जाती हैं। अगर, यहां के व्यापारियों को समस्याएं होंगी, तो देशभर के व्यापारी परेशान होंगे। गलत रिटर्न भर दिया गया है, तो उसका भुगतान तो लिया जाना चाहिए, लेकिन जुर्माना लगाना उचित नहीं है। व्यापारियों को जीएसटी में होने वाले संशोधनों के बारे में समझाना भी जरूरी है। इसके लिए जीएसटी काउंसिल में व्यापारियों का भी प्रतिनिधित्व हो। जिससे संशोधनों पर व्यापारियों को समझा सकें।आयुष्मान योजना दिल्ली में आज तक लागू नहीं की जा सकीदिल्ली देश की राष्ट्रीय राजधानी है, यहां केंद्र सरकार जो योजना बनाती है, उसका देश के दूर दराज के इलाकों तक में क्रियान्वयन करना होता है, लेकिन राष्ट्रीय राजधानी की समस्या है कि राजनीतिक टकराव के कारण बहुत सी योजना यहां लागू नहीं हो पा रही हैं। केंद्र सरकार ने आयुष्मान योजना, पीएम आवास योजना, किसान सम्मान निधि जैसी योजनाएं शुरू की हैं। आयुष्मान भारत योजना का उद्देश्य गरीब वर्ग के लोगों को पांच लाख रुपये तक का निःशुल्क इलाज देना था। इसके साथ ही पीएम आवास योजना के तहत कम कीमत पर मकान उपलब्ध कराए जाने थे।वहीं, किसानों की सहायता के लिए किसान सम्मान निधि के तहत छह हजार रुपये की सहायता दी जाती है। देशभर में बड़ी संख्या में लोगों को इन योजनाओं का लाभ मिल रहा है। जिससे उनके जीवन स्तर में सुधार हुआ हैं और इन योजना की वजह से लोग मुसीबतों से बाहर निकले हैं। दिल्ली के लोगों को इन योजनाओं का लाभ नहीं मिल रहा है। दिल्ली सरकार ने वर्ष 2020 में दिल्ली विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले आयुष्मान भारत योजना लागू करने की बात कही तो थी, लेकिन चार वर्ष बीतने वाले हैं पर अभी तक यह योजना लागू नहीं हो सकी है। जिसकी प्रमुख वजह केंद्र सरकार और राज्य सरकार के बीच राजनीतिक टकराव है।वर्ष 2019 में जितना राजनीतिक टकराव था, वह बढ़ता ही जा रहा है। केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों के बीच आरोप-प्रत्यारोप सामने आता रहता है, जबकि दोनों को चाहिए कि वार्ता के माध्यम से राजनीतिक टकराव दूर करें, क्योंकि राजनीतिक टकराव में जनता का नुकसान नहीं होना चाहिए। सांसद का पक्ष: वहीं, इस मामले में नई दिल्ली से दो बार सांसद रहीं मीनाक्षी लेखी से पक्ष मांगा गया, लेकिन उपलब्ध नहीं हो सका, उनके कार्यालय और उनकी तरफ से कोई जवाब नहीं आया।नई दिल्ली को प्रदूषण से नहीं मिल सकी निजातराजधानी में वायु प्रदूषण की समस्या इतनी गंभीर है कि वर्ष भर में कई बार ग्रेप लागू करना पड़ता है। स्कूलों को बंद करना पड़ता है। यह स्थिति तब है, जब नई दिल्ली में बैठे देश के नीति निर्माता स्वयं इससे जूझते हैं। प्रदूषण बढ़ने पर आरोप-प्रत्यारोप की राजनीति तो होती है, लेकिन स्थायी समाधान नहीं होता है। वायु प्रदूषण की गंभीर समस्या को 2019 में नई दिल्ली लोकसभा क्षेत्र के राष्ट्रीय मुद्दे के तौर पर एजेंडे में शामिल किया गया था। स्थिति यह है कि इस क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत आने वाला लुटियंस दिल्ली, जोकि 50 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा हरित क्षेत्र हैं, प्रदूषण से जूझता है। प्रदूषण से कोई निजात नहीं मिली।प्रदूषण कम करने के नाम पर वाहनों को प्रतिबंधित कर दिया जाता है, पार्किंग के दाम बढ़ा दिए जाते हैं, लेकिन स्थायी समाधान नहीं निकालता है। बाबा खड़ग सिंह मार्ग पर दिल्ली सरकार ने प्रयोगात्मक तौर पर स्माग टावर लगाया था। करीब 20 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से वर्ष 2021 में लगे इस स्माग टावर के लाभ हुआ या नहीं, इसका परिणाम सामने आना बाकी है, लेकिन वर्ष 2023 में वायु प्रदूषण गंभीर स्थिति के दौरान यह स्माग टावर खराब ही रहा।ये भी पढ़ें- Delhi News: रोहतक रोड पर मेट्रो पिलर के पास बोरे में शख्स की लाश मिलने से हड़कंप, नहीं हो पाई शिनाख्त

Maharashtra Anti Corruption Bureau books Sales Tax officer, 16 traders for Rs 175.93-crore GST fraud
The Maharashtra Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) booked a Sales Tax officer along with 16 traders for allegedly causing losses of Rs 175.93 crore to the state government, the ACB said on Friday. The accused officer, identified as Amit Giridhar Lalge (42), allegedly allowed 16 traders to make tax returns claims of Rs 175.93 crore even though they did not make any GST payments. An ACB officer said the alleged scam took place between August 2021 and March 2022 at the state Goods and Service Tax (GST) department building in Mazgaon. It was after the GST department conducted an audit that they found that the GST tax returns being disbursed was not in line with the GST that had been paid by these 16 traders. By processing these returns and disbursing money to 16 traders, Lalge caused a loss of Rs 175.93 crore to the Maharashtra government, the official said.

NEFT processes record single-day transactions
NEW DELHI: The National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) system achieved a milestone on February 29, 2024, by processing 4.10 crore transactions, the highest number of transactions processed in a day so far. The NEFT system and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system are being managed by the Reserve Bank of India to settle the retail and wholesale payments, respectively. During the previous ten years (2014-23), NEFT and RTGS systems have registered growth of 700% and 200% respectively in terms of volume and 670% and 104% respectively in terms of value. RTGS system had processed its highest ever volume of 16.25 lakh transactions in a day on 31 March 2023. While NEFT transactions happen between two banks within a given schedule, transfers under RTGS can take place on a real time basis.

Digital Tools Set to Save Kashmiri Script From Disuse – Hindu Press International
SRINAGAR, INDIA,, January 6, 2024 (The Hindu): For centuries, the Kashmiri language has survived only through oral traditions; by 2013, those who could write the script fell to just five percent. In a 2013 research paper, scholar and author Maroof Shah said that 95% of literate Kashmiris could not write Kashmiri. Microsoft India’s MS Translator software has now included the Kashmiri language. In November 2023, an online campaign was to get Kashmiri included in Google Translate as well; this demand has also been accepted and is likely to be rolled out in the next six months. These moves are likely to benefit 7 million Kashmiri speakers living in the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir, including those in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
