Manipur assembly on Thursday unanimously resolved to urge the Central Government to completely abrogate the Suspension of Operations (SOO) pact with all the Kuki-Zo militant groups. Chief minister N Biren Singh stated in X, “The 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly on the 2nd day of its 5th session, unanimously resolved to urge the Central Government to completely abrogate the SoO pact with all the Kuki-Zo militant groups. Several organisations in their memorandum raised the urgent necessity to abrogate the Suspension of Operation (SOO) between the Government of India (GOI) and 24 Kuki Militant Groups to reinstate normalcy in Manipur while highlighting violations of the SOO agreements by Kuki militant groups since the onset of the crisis on May 3, 2023. The memorandum also alleged that SOO cadres are implicated in the ongoing conflict, drug trafficking, and narco-terrorism. Furthermore, the memorandum asserted evidence of foreign Chin Kuki Zo militant groups supporting SOO cadres, posing a threat to India’s internal security emphasizing the challenges faced by the people of Manipur, including highway blockades and various harassments by SOO cadres.

GST on corporate guarantees: Experts await more clarity
Indirect tax experts are awaiting clarity on the levy of goods and services tax (GST) on corporate guarantees given by Indian companies on behalf of their subsidiaries following a notification issued by the finance ministry in October. The 26 October notification had clarified how much value to be ascribed to a transaction that provides corporate guarantees when there is no financial consideration involved. Earlier, companies did not pay any GST on corporate guarantees as generally no financial consideration is paid for it by the subsidiary. Tax experts seek clarity on the valuation to be ascribed to corporate guarantees in between this period. However, the valuation for corporate guarantees issued before the amendment still remains unclarified as the amendment is prospective,” she said.

MP Board Class 5th and 8th Exam Date and Time: 6 मार्च से शुरू होगी बोर्ड परीक्षा, डेटशीट जारीMP Board Class 5th and 8th Exam Date and Time: राज्य शिक्षा केन्द्र द्वारा आयोजित कक्षा 5वीं और 8वीं की बोर्ड परीक्षा 6 मार्च से शुरू होने जा रही है। जिले में पांचवीं और आठवीं की परीक्षा में सरकारी और प्राइवेट स्कूलों को मिलाकर 45,485 परीक्षार्थी शामिल होंगे। जबकि सरकारी स्कूलों में कक्षा 5वीं में 15,815 कक्षा 8वीं में 15,385, कुल 31190 परीक्षार्थी शामिल होंगे। इस परीक्षा को लेकर विभागीय स्तर से तैयारियां शुरू कर दी गई हैं। बताया गया है कि राज्य शिक्षा केन्द्र द्वारा आयोजित कक्षा 5वीं और 8वीं की परीक्षाएं 6 मार्च से शुरू होकर 14 मार्च को समाप्त होंगी।राज्य शिक्षा केन्द्र द्वारा जारी आदेश के तहत कक्षा 5वीं की परीक्षा 6 मार्च से 13 मार्च तक होगी। परीक्षा में पहला पेपर 6 मार्च को प्रथम भाषा हिन्दी, 7 अंग्रेजी, मराठी, उर्दू का होगा।कक्षा 8वीं का परीक्षा कार्यक्रमराज्य शिक्षा केन्द्र द्वारा जारी आदेश के तहत कक्षा 8वीं की परीक्षा 8 मार्च से 14 मार्च तक होगी। परीक्षा में पहला पेपर 6 मार्च को प्रथम भाषा हिन्दी, अंग्रेजी, उर्दू और मराठी का होगा। 7 मार्च को गणित अथवा दृष्टिबाधितों के लिए संगीत का पेपर होगा। 11 मार्च सोमवार को द्वितीय भाषा अग्रेजी अथवा हिंदी का होगा। 12 मार्च को विज्ञान, 13 मार्च को तृतीय भाषा संस्कृत, हिंदी, उर्दू, मराठी, पंजाबी, मूकबधिरों के लिए चित्रकला की परीक्षा होगी। 14 मार्च आखिरी पेपर सामाजिक विज्ञान है.
