Britain's Royal Air Force base Akrotiri in Cyprus was hit by a suspected drone strike overnight, causing limited damage and no casualties, Cypriot authorities and the UK's Ministry of Defence said. A Cyprus government spokesperson said that "information received through various channels indicates that it involved an unmanned drone, which caused limited damage". He said "information received through various channels" indicated a drone strike. A security alert put out to residents in the vicinity of Akrotiri by the British bases administration advised residents to shelter in place until further notice 'following a suspected drone impact'. The suspected drone strike occurred after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the UK would help the US in the war against Iran.

SEBI presses banks, other regulators for stricter insider trading enforcement
India's market regulator is pushing banks and other regulators to tighten enforcement of insider-trading rules, in particular safeguarding unpublished price sensitive information, the regulator's chief said. Feedback has been gathered across 77 meetings with foreign portfolio investors over the year, Pandey said, adding that rules are being changed where needed. India classifies overseas investment of up to 10% as foreign portfolio investment while larger holdings fall under foreign direct investment and are subject to sectoral caps and in some cases security checks. Easing regulations for foreign investors has been seen as important at a time when portfolio and longer term strategic investments have been weak. Overseas portfolio investors sold $18 billion in Indian equities in 2025.

Bihar News: आज से पटना में चलेगा स्पेशल ड्राइव, अतिक्रमण के खिलाफ नौ टीमें तैनात; कहां-कहां चलेगा अभियान?
बिहार विधानसभा में नगर आवास एवं विकास विभाग के मंत्री विजय सिन्हा ने एलान किया था कि राजधानी पटना समेत कई जगहों पर मार्च से अतिक्रमण हटाओ अभियान चलाया जाएगा। आज से इसकी शुरुआत हो चुकी है। पटना शहर को अतिक्रमण मुक्त बनाने के लिए जिला प्रशासन की ओर से दो मार्च से 28 मार्च तक बुलडोजर एक्शन लिया जाएगा। पटना के डीएम डॉ. त्यागराजन एसएम ने स्पष्ट कहा कि किसी भी हाल में अतिक्रमणकारियों को बख्शा नहीं जाए्रगा। इसलिए जिला प्रशासन की कार्रवाई से पहले ही सरकारी जमीन से अवैध कब्जा छोड़ दें। पटना में दो मार्च से अतिक्रमण के विरुद्ध पुन: विशेष अभियान चलाया जाएगा। इसको लेकर नौ टीमों का गठन किया गया है। यह मल्टी-एजेंसी अभियान होगा, जिसमें प्रशासन के साथ कई विभागों की संयुक्त कार्रवाई देखने को मिलेगी।विज्ञापनविज्ञापनअभियान पटना नगर निगम के छह अंचलों में नूतन राजधानी, पाटलिपुत्र, कंकड़बाग, बांकीपुर, अजीमाबाद और पटना सिटी के साथ नगर परिषद खगौल, फुलवारीशरीफ और दानापुर निजामत क्षेत्र में भी चलाया जाएगा। प्रशासन, नगर निगम, ट्रैफिक पुलिस, परिवहन, राजस्व, पथ निर्माण, स्वास्थ्य, पुलिस, अग्निशमन, पुल निर्माण निगम, दूरसंचार, वन प्रमंडल और विद्युत विभाग के अधिकारी व कर्मी इसमें शामिल रहेंगे। जिलाधिकारी ने सभी संबंधित पदाधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया है कि वे अंतर्विभागीय समन्वय और संवाद के साथ प्रभावी ढंग से अतिक्रमण हटाएं। फॉलोअप टीम और मॉनिटरिंग सेल को सक्रिय रखने तथा दोबारा अतिक्रमण करने वालों के खिलाफ अनिवार्य रूप से प्राथमिकी दर्ज करने के निर्देश भी दिए गए हैं। टी-प्वाइंट, गोलंबर और प्रमुख चौराहों को प्राथमिकता के आधार पर अतिक्रमण-मुक्त रखा जाएगा।शहरवासियों ने अभियान को अच्छी पहल बताया है। गोला रोड इलाके के लोगों का कहना है कि शाम होते ही ठेले और फुटकर दुकानदार सड़क पर दुकान सजा लेते हैं, जिससे जाम की स्थिति बन जाती है। पांच मिनट की दूरी तय करने में 25 से 30 मिनट लग जाते हैं। लोगों ने बताया कि गोला रोड मोड़ पर दर्जनों ई-रिक्शा बीच सड़क पर खड़े रहते हैं, जिससे यातायात बाधित होता है। इतना ही नहीं गली और मोहल्लों में कई लोगों ने सरकारी सड़क का अतिक्रमण कर रखा है। इससे काफी परेशानी होती है। आईजीआईएमएस के सामने भी ठेला दुकानों के कारण आवागमन में दिक्कत होती है। वहीं मछुआ टोली, बाकरगंज, हथुआ मार्केट, कदम कुआं और नाला रोड इलाके में शाम के समय सड़क के दोनों ओर दुकानें सज जाती हैं। भीड़ बढ़ने से स्थिति यह हो जाती है कि पैदल चलना भी मुश्किल हो जाता है। यही हाल पटना जंक्शन का भी रहता है। पटना जंक्शन से लेकर जीपीओ गोलंबर तक अहले सुबह से सड़क के दोनों ओर फुटकर दुकानें और ई रिक्शा लगी रहती है। स्थिति ऐसी हो जाती है कि यहां रोज जाम लगता है। इसलिए स्पेशल ड्राइव जरूरी है।अतिक्रमण हटाओ अभियान से फुटकर दुकानदारों में हड़कंप है। उनका कहना है कि प्रशासन ने दुकान लगाने के लिए कोई वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था नहीं की है। ठेले पर दुकान लगाकर ही उनकी रोजी-रोटी चलती है। वह प्रतिदिन तीन-चार घंटे काम कर परिवार का भरण-पोषण करते हैं। दुकानदारों ने सरकार से पहले पुनर्वास की व्यवस्था करने और फिर अभियान चलाने की मांग की है।डिप्टी सीएम विजय सिन्हा ने लोगों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि शहर को सुंदर और व्यवस्थित बनाने में जनता का सहयोग जरूरी है। किसी भी हाल में अतिक्रमण न करें। जाम की समस्या से सभी को परेशानी होती है। प्रशासन का सहयोग करें और सरकारी कार्य में बाधा न डालें। नियमों का उल्लंघन करने पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

यूपी में बेटे ने मां-बाप, बहन और दादी को कुल्हाड़ी से काट डाला, जमीन विवाद में की हत्या
जागरण संवाददाता, बहराइच। जिले में होली से पहले खूनी होली खेली गई। पिता द्वारा बेची गई जमीन व गहने के पैसे न मिलने से नाराज बेटे ने अपने मां-बाप, दादी व बहन की कुल्हाड़ी से काटकर हत्या कर दी। सो रहे अन्य परिवारजन शोर शराबा सुनकर घर के आंगन में पहुंचे तो देखा कि चार लाशें खून से लथपथ पड़ी है। चारों ओर से घिरा देख आरोपी खुद पर भी ईट से हमला कर जान देने की कोशिश की।गंभीर हालत में उसे बहराइच से लखनऊ के ट्रामा सेंटर को रेफर किया गया है घटनास्थल का एसपी ने निरीक्षण किया। रुपईडीहा इलाके के बसंतपुर रुदल में रात करीब 12:30 बजे जब पूरा गांव गहरी नींद में था, तब गांव निवासी बदलूराम के घर से उठी चीख-पुकार ने सन्नाटे को चीर दिया। बदलूराम का बेटा निरंकार पिता द्वारा बेची गई जमीन व गहने का पैसा न देने की बात को लेकर विवाद कर रहा था। बात इतनी बढ़ गई कि निरंकार अपना आपा खो बैठा और पास में रखी कुल्हाड़ी से पिता पर हमला कर मौत ज घाट उतार दिया।बदलूराम को बचाने दौड़े उसकी 56 वर्षीय पत्नी संजू देवी, बेटी पार्वती व 80 वर्षीय मां सिताला को भी कुल्हाड़ी से काटकर हत्या कर दिया। रात में शोर शराबा सुन गांव के ग्रामीण बदलूराम के घर पहुंचे तो देखा कि आंगन में चार लार लाशें बिछी हुई हैं।
