MTC plans to buy 1,270 more low-floor buses
CHENNAI: Public transportation in Chennai is set to undergo a significant upgrade, as the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has decided to procure 1,270 new low-floor buses. This includes 500 AC electric buses, 250 non-AC electric buses, and 300 AC small buses (7-metre length). In addition, the corporation will also purchase 70 low-floor AC buses and 150 micro buses (5-metre length) to provide first and last-mile connectivity for commuters of Chennai metro. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin flagged off 100 low-floor electric buses from the Tondiarpet depot -I. Additionally, seven depots will be upgraded and six new will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 289.69 crore.

Asia scrambles for LNG amid war in Middle East and halted Qatari output

राजस्थान में 20 मिनट दिखा साल का पहला चंद्रग्रहण:साल का पहला चंद्रग्रहण राजस्थान में करीब 20 मिनट तक दिखाई दिया। जयपुर में कुछ देर के लिए ब्लड मून भी नजर आया। मंगलवार को श्री सत्यनारायण पूर्णिमा के दिन ग्रहण के कारण सुबह से ही धार्मिक गतिविधियों में बदलाव देखने को मिला।. ग्रहण शुरू होने से करीब 9 घंटे पहले सुबह 6 बजकर 55 मिनट पर सूतककाल शुरू हो गया था। इस कारण अधिकतर मंदिरों के कपाट बंद कर दिए गए। हालांकि, चंद्रग्रहण के दौरान नाथद्वारा में श्रीनाथजी के दर्शन होते रहे।चंद्रग्रहण के दौरान जयपुर के गोविंददेवजी मंदिर में भजन-कीर्तन हुए। पुष्कर के घाटों पर विदेशी पर्यटकों ने पूरी श्रद्धा के साथ मंत्र जाप किया।ग्रहण शुद्धिकरण के बाद मंदिरों के कपाट खोले गए। चंद्रग्रहण के कारण पुष्कर, नागौर सहित कई शहरों में धुलंडी बुधवार को मनाई जाएगी।भारतीय समय के अनुसार, चंद्रग्रहण मंगलवार दोपहर 3:21 से शाम 6:47 बजे तक रहा। राजस्थान में यह शाम 6:27 से 6:47 बजे तक दिखाई दिया।राजस्थान में चंद्रग्रहण करीब 20 मिनट के लिए दिखा। जयपुर में कुछ देर के लिए ब्लड मून भी नजर आया।चंद्रग्रहण की यह फोटो अलवर के एक मॉल से राजस्थान के फोटोग्राफर अनिल गाबा ने खींची है।जब चंद्रग्रहण हो रहा था, तब विदेशी पर्यटक पुष्कर के घाट पर मंत्र जाप कर रहे थे।चंद्रग्रहण के दौरान जयपुर के गोविंददेवजी मंदिर में भजन-कीर्तन हुए।चंद्रग्रहण से पहले सूतक के कारण ब्रह्मा मंदिर के पट बंद कर दिए गए थे।अब जानते हैं कि चंद्रग्रहण क्या होता है? गुरुत्वाकर्षण बल यानी ग्रेविटेशनल फोर्स की वजह से पृथ्वी और सभी दूसरे ग्रह सूर्य के चारों ओर चक्कर लगाते हैं। पृथ्वी, 365 दिनों में सूर्य का एक चक्कर लगाती है।जबकि चंद्रमा एक प्राकृतिक उपग्रह है, जो पृथ्वी के चारों ओर चक्कर लगाता है। उसे पृथ्वी के एक चक्कर लगाने में 27 दिन लगते हैं।सूर्य के चक्कर लगाने के दौरान कई बार ऐसी स्थिति बनती है जब पृथ्वी, सूर्य और चंद्रमा के बीच में आ जाती है। इस दौरान सूर्य का प्रकाश चंद्रमा तक नहीं पहुंच पाता है और पृथ्वी की छाया चंद्रमा पर पड़ने से चंद्र ग्रहण होता है।चंद्रग्रहण की घटना तभी होती है जब सूर्य, पृथ्वी और चंद्रमा एक सीध में हो, खगोलीय विज्ञान के अनुसार ये केवल पूर्णिमा के दिन ही संभव होता है। इसी वजह से ज्यादातर चंद्रग्रहण केवल पूर्णिमा के दिन होते हैं।

After the ceasefire, Israel continued to carry out near-daily strikes, primarily in southern Lebanon, saying that Hezbollah had been trying to rebuild its forces in the area. Hezbollah launched rockets into Israel a day after the militant Palestinian group Hamas attacked southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, triggering the war in Gaza.
