“We have hard-to-reach communities in the district. Communities like Koware, Biaso, Kasapee; there is a river Bia around those areas so when it rains and it overflows its bounds, you cannot cross to do malaria vaccination. Currently, the piloting is taking place in 42 districts selected from seven regions of Ghana including the Asutifi North district of the Ahafo Region. The second dose is administered when the child is seven month old, the third dose is given when the child turns nine months old and the final and fourth dose given to the child at age two. Mr. Dam-Park however expressed that despite the challenges in covering the hard-to-reach communities in the Asutifi North, there has been a satisfactory result gained since the malaria cases have seen a downward trend.

According to a report from myjoyonline.com, the court also ruled that the excuse that national elections and the coronavirus were not enough for it to have delayed so much. By that, this case that started under former Minister of Justice, Gloria Akuffo, with the current Minister of Attorney General, Godfred Odame, as her deputy, is to pay a whopping US$170 million in damages to the claimants; Ghana Power Generation Company (GPGC). It is reported that State Attorneys together with Godfred Dame, who took over the case, went to sleep on the job, costing the country this damage. The attempts by Dame and his subordinates to hide behind the 2020 general election and the coronavirus pandemic was therefore rejected by the London court in its ruling on Wednesday, June 8, 2021. In his statement, judge Mr. Justice Butcher did not grant the wish of the government of Ghana for an extension of time to apply to set the award aside, describing such attempts as “intrinsically weak”.

J.J Rawlings was remembered for being a disciplinarian and a man who criticizes anybody at fault without fear or favour. As we recall the fond memories of Ghana’s longest-serving president, GhanaWeb throws back at a video where Mr. Rawlings was captured directing traffic on the Accra-Aflao road. Former President Jerry John Rawlings was compelled to park his car and step into the middle of the road to direct traffic as the level of lawless on Accra-Aflao road gets ugly. Former President Rawlings, according to a close associate, has noticed the indiscipline on several occasions and therefore decided to “step out and direct traffic and bring a sense of orderliness”. He has since made a passionate appeal to a joint police and military operation to be posted to the area to manage traffic and ensure discipline.

“Let us find ways to fix this menace not necessarily through taxing and I hope IFS will come out very soon, we cannot continue to virtually give away our extractive resources. In developing a country, economies largely depend upon revenues from their extractive sector to plan their development. “Always we should raise our tax revenue, how much can we tax poor people. The extractive sector that is in the hands of foreign investors we have to take it back so that we are able to raise revenue to develop, if only we are interested in development. General News of Tuesday, 22 June 2021Source: www.ghanaweb.comMartin Amidu describing his appointing authority, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as “mother serpent of corruption” is a very serious allegation, Tsatsu Tsikata has said. He said how the appointment of Martin Amidu ended up tells a lot about the commitment shown in the fight against corruption under the Akufo-Addo-led government. He furthered that he was shocked that Nana Akufo-Addo whom he trusted as the ‘Moses of anti-corruption,’ turned out to be ‘the mother serpent of corruption. That was when it was divinely revealed to me that the President whom I trusted so much for integrity only looked like the innocent flower of anti-corruption but he was really the mother corruption serpent under the innocent-looking flower," he added. The ex-Special Prosecutor literally identified President Akufo-Addo and his Finance Minister as the brains behind the Agyapa deal which he discovered to be the greatest corruption plot in the history of the country.
