Mark Coles reunites with national women cricketers
LAHORE - Mark Coles, who has been reappointed as Pakistan women’s team coach, met national players at State Bank Ground Saturday. Coles reached Karachi earlier on Saturday and went to State Bank Ground to watch Dynamites vsChallengers contest of the ongoing four-team T20 series. After the match, Coles reunited with the national players whom he coached during his last stint from 2017 to 2019. “It feels great to be back and meeting you guys,” said Coles in a brief chat with the players. Events held across globe in support of Pakistan’s armed forces
A seminar was held in the brotherly country of Turkiye to show unity with the armed forces. Online cab driver shot dead
SUKKUR - A taxi driver was shot dead by rivals near Farash Morr area of Sukkur district on Saturday. According to the media reports, the incident occurred when the taxi driver was returning to home, some motorcycle riding suspects opened fire on a car near Farash Morr. As a result the taxi driver succumbed to his injuries. Police took the dead body in custody and shifted it to hospital for medico-legal process. Pakistan Men's National Team to feature in 4-Nations Cup in Mauritius
Pakistan Men's National Football team is all set to participate in the four-nations Cup in Mauritius. The tournament will provide an excellent opportunity for the team to showcase their skills and compete against other nations. With Mauritius hosting the tournament, along with Kenya and Djibouti as the other participating teams, the competition will start on 8th June and will come to an end on 18th June. Only 10% IT graduates employable: SBP
Despite an increasing number of graduates entering the job market, a vast majority of them lack the competencies required to meet the evolving demands of the digital landscape. According to the SBP report, Pakistan sees an annual supply of 20,000 to 25,000 fresh engineering and IT graduates. A forthcoming survey being conducted by the SBP on start-ups reveals that a majority of IT firms face considerable difficulty in hiring skilled employees. The report states that only 10% of IT graduates are employable due to weaknesses in both technical and soft skills. The SBP suggests inviting top-tier global bootcamp companies to set up camps across the country under public-private partnership models.
