Kevin Quin said he was “pretty pissed”, by the time they left, adding the other two men were “drinking lots and were also drunk”. While the truck driver was on the phone to emergency services he spotted flames under the car’s bonnet. The Pulse has a slight one-up this season, having beaten the Stars 58-44 in round six and squeaked a 64-62 win in round eight. The Stars were right in the game against the Mystics and fought their way back after being seven goals down early in the game. There is added incentive for Jury as well, as she brings up her 100th national league game on Sunday. TipA really, really tough one to choose, but I’m going to have to go with the Pulse by two. The Pulse has come home with a wet sail — despite last week’s bump in the road — and the defending champion has game winners across the court.

The days of an All Blacks bolter have largely faded into the distance - in the age of electronic media, instant news cycles and every top-level match in the country being televised, most contenders have been dissected and discussed for months before the squad is named. Shaun Stevenson, if he is named next month for the All Blacks, wouldn’t be classed as a bolter. If there is a bolter this year, it could come in midfield. A suggestion...Bryce Heem scores a try for the All Blacks XV. Photo / PhotosportBut to bring his column full-circle, I’d be looking at 34-year-old Blues midfielder Bryce Heem just as closely as a “bolter”.

Queen Cleopatra, the four-episode documentary-drama by Netflix, has received the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score in the history of media and television. Rotten Tomatoes score for Netflix's Queen Cleopatra (Image via Rotten Tomatoes)As per NME, Mahmoud Al-Semary, an Egyptian lawyer, has sued Netflix for portraying Queen Cleopatra as a black woman, which was contrary to her historical depiction, which portrayed her as a Greek blonde woman. The case also added that there should have been pride in making the Queen Cleopatra series to ensure the preservation of Egyptian national and cultural identity. Critics and audiences alike are joining hands and coming together to pan Netflix's woke Queen Cleopatra, quite possibly the worst docuseries ever made. https://t.co/UuMZEHuNrDThis is not the first time that there has been a backlash against a project focusing on Queen Cleopatra.

The 1News Kantar Public poll, released tonight, has National on 37 per cent, up 3 points on its last poll two months ago. Four minor parties reached 1 per cent in the latest poll: The Opportunities Party, Democracy NZ, Cannabis Party and New Conservative. Tonight’s results also reflect people’s feelings towards National this month ruling out working with Te Pāti Māori in any kind of arrangement after the general election. On those numbers, a Labour-Greens-Te Pāti Māori coalition would reach 61 seats - enough to form a government.
