असम में धान की खेती ज्यादा होती है, लेकिन किसानों के द्वारा मक्का की फसल को अपनाएं जाने पर मक्का की खेती धान की फसलके मुकाबले ज्यादा होने लगी है. पूर्वोत्तर भारत का प्रवेश द्वार कहे जाने वाले असम के किसानों में अब मक्के की खेती को लेकर दिलचस्पी बढ़ रही है. वहां धान का एरिया घट रहा है और मक्का का एरिया बढ़ रहा है. IIMR के सीनियर साइंटिस्ट शंकर लाल जाट का कहना है कि असम में मक्के की खेती के अनुकूल मौसम और मिट्टी है. वजह यह है कि पोल्ट्री फीड के लिए मक्के की मांग बढ़ ही रही है, साथ में इथेनॉल उत्पादन के लिए उत्पादन बढ़ना बहुत जरूरी है.

Editorial on U.S. policy on Israel
None of this seems to bother the U.S. lawmakers, who applauded Mr. Netanyahu throughout his speech. But in the name of fighting Hamas, Israel has been punishing the entire Palestinian population in Gaza. But besides the verbal protestations, Washington has done little to force Israel to act. The welcome Mr. Netanyahu received at Congress shows that he has the support of the elites. But the protest on the streets and the dissenting voices even among lawmakers suggest that the national consensus on Israel is eroding in the U.S.

पिस्टल की सफाई करते हुए पिता से चली गोली, बेटी की मौत; पुलिस मामले की जांच में जुटी
इस दौरान पुलिस को मुखबिर से वारदात की जानकारी मिली। पुलिस ने तुरंत आरोपित पिता को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। पूछताछ में उसने अपना अपराध कुबूल कर लिया। पुलिस ने आरोपित के खिलाफ हत्या का मामला दर्ज कर लिया है।जागरण संवाददाता, बाहरी दिल्ली। (Dlhi माडल टाउन थाना क्षेत्र में पिता से अवैध पिस्टल की सफाई के दौरान गोली चल गई, जो सामने बैठी उसकी सात वर्षीय बेटी को लगी, जिसमें उसकी मौत हो गई। आरोपित पिता ने खुद को बचाने के लिए परिवार के अन्य सदस्यों के साथ शव को आनन-फानन में वजीराबाद में दफना दिया।पुलिस (Delhi Police) अधिकारी के मुताबिक आरोपित पिता दीपक ने बताया कि वह पिस्टल साफ कर रहा था। इसी दौरान गोली चल गई। गोली टीवी देख रही उसकी बेटी गुन्नू को लगी। पुलिस ने आरोपित के कब्जे से अवैध पिस्टल और कारतूस बरामद किया है।पोस्टमार्टम के बाद शव स्वजन को सौंपाउसकी निशानदेही पर बुधवार को शव बाहर निकाला गया, फिर पोस्टमार्टम के बाद स्वजन को सौंपा गया। पुलिस ने बताया कि दीपक एक कोरियर कंपनी में डिलीवरी ब्वाय है। उस पर हत्या का प्रयास और मारपीट के दो मामले पहले से दर्ज हैं। परिवार के अन्य सदस्यों की संलिप्तता की भी पुलिस जांच कर रही है।

The present-day Hindu right harbors similar admiration: amid Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, Hindu leaders in India are cautioning against a Palestinian uprising in Indian streets and villages — a veiled reference to the Islamophobic trope that Indian Muslims pose a threat to Hindu women and Hindu prosperity.

World’s two most wanted drug traffickers of Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel arrested by US authorities
Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, a longtime leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel, and Joaquín Guzmán López, a son of another infamous cartel leader, were arrested by U.S. authorities in Texas on Thursday, the U.S. Justice Department said. Two top leaders of Mexico's Sinaloa drug cartel, including its co-founder Ismael Zambada Garcia, were arrested on July 25, 2024 in Texas, the US Department of Justice said. He also developed a partnership with “El Chapo” Guzman that would take him to the top of the Sinaloa Cartel. Zambada’s detention follows some important arrests of other Sinaloa cartel figures, including one of his sons and another son of “El Chapo” Guzmán, Ovidio Guzmán López. Zambada's son pleaded guilty in U.S. federal court in San Diego in 2021 to being a leader in the Sinaloa cartel.

Madhya Pradesh government signs MoUs with textile associations
The Madhya Pradesh government has made agreements with the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association (TEA), the Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), and the Indian Cotton Federation (ICF). The government of Madhya Pradesh will collaborate with the SIMA and the ICF to encourage the growing of Extra Long Staple (ELS) cotton. The best kind of ELS is grown in Madhya Pradesh, according to J. Thulasidharan, chairman of the ICF, and Tamil Nadu textile factories have a significant market for it. The Federation will establish a Cotton Development Board and assist Madhya Pradesh in increasing cotton productivity and acreage. The TEA will encourage investment prospects for Madhya Pradesh’s apparel industry and make it easier for clothing manufacturing firms to develop and grow there.
