Students in it for the long haulAnti-dictatorship student activists plan to stage their next mass protest at Thammasat University's Tha Prachan campus on Saturday Sept 19. Worse still, they can't rely on Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to come to their rescue. The prime minister should have supported Mr Predee, but he didn't and just kept quiet, letting Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam intervene by withdrawing the reshuffle issue from the agenda. The prime minister also did not confront then Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak and his economic team when they tendered their resignation. Students protests are a new thorn in the side of the government which now looks hapless, desperate and incompetent.

The Cartoon saga began in June when the young woman posted a clip to TikTok of her dancing while in a nurse's uniform. Throughout these dramas, Noom and Tik posted pictures of them and their daughter as if nothing had happened, to counter speculation their marriage was on the rocks.

No dodgy dealings today, thank youThailand marks its annual National Anti-Corruption Day today, which might possibly prompt a few wry smiles in certain quarters. Roll of the diceLess imaginative than the "elephant's hind legs defence" but one used regularly by politicians trying to explain why they are "unusually wealthy" is the "lucky streak defence". He recounted that he made regular visits to many casinos in Australia where he enjoyed a "lucky streak". An extremely lucky streak by all accounts, to the sum of more than 200 million baht. He had been carrying two lunchboxes and in a moment of "absent-mindedness" had handed over the wrong one for the judge.

This is a crucial and forward-looking public health policy decision. The proposal was made by the National Health Security Office (NHSO), the state committee which handles the 140-billion-baht universal healthcare budget for the 48 million 30-baht Universal Health Care Card holders. Without a budget tracking system, the false claims will continue and undermine the country's universal healthcare system in the long run. The reported corruption is one of several challenges for the NHSO that the Public Health Ministry needs to rectify and overcome. So far, the NHSO and the Health Ministry have done well and deserve praise in developing and nurturing this landmark 30-baht universal healthcare scheme.

On the way back to Washington from a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Trump erupted, saying: "I would be willing to swear on anything that I never said that about our fallen heroes." Asked if he would share a stage with Trump if invited, Biden said yes: "He is still the president of the United States."

Disney's 'Mulan' makes historic small-screen debut, skips theatresActress Yifei Liu attends the world premiere of Disney's "Mulan" at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on March 9, 2020. LOS ANGELES: Disney's live-action "Mulan" featuring an all-Asian cast finally premieres Friday, launching on streaming service Disney+ in a bold small-screen gamble that analysts say could change Hollywood forever. Unlike its rival studio, which will have to split box office receipts with theaters, Disney will keep 100 percent of profits for "Mulan," which will cost viewers $30, on top of existing subscriptions. 'This is huge'Easing the decision for Disney was the fact that in China -- where Disney+ is not available -- many theaters have reopened. For the cast, after months of limbo, the film's long-awaited release alone is reason to celebrate.
