Karachi - Sindh Works and Services Secretary Imran Atta Soomro passed away here on Sunday. Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over the death of Imran Atta Soomro. The CM said that Soomro was an excellent officer. He prayed the Almighty to grant the late Imran Atta a high place in Jannat al-Firdous and grant patience to the bereaved. Soomro had also served as Secretary Information Department for a long period.

From the Tribune staff reportsHOOVER – A suspected bank robber took his own life inside his apartment after police tracked him to his apartment on Friday, May 12. The Hoover Police Department went to 40-year-old Terry Given’s residence at 7:28 p.m. to serve a search warrant in relation to a recent bank robbery. Given’s reportedly refused to allow police access to his apartment and during subsequent negotiations, he ceased communication with police and not long after a shot was heard. Police entered the apartment and discovered Givens had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot. The Hoover Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has accused the judiciary of aiding the former prime minister Imran Khan, claiming that those who are implementing one-man shows in their institutions want to do the same for the entire nation. Bilawal said that when the issue of Punjab was raised, they decide on the spot to have elections in 90 days. He said that as long as their facilitators were present in the institutions, Imran Khan and his allies were still striving to dissolve the parliament and organize elections right away. The Foreign Minister also said that when PTI arrived on May 25 and set Islamabad on fire, they [government] did nothing, the courts did nothing, and nothing happened to them [PTI]. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Interior Attaullah Tarar says the Al-Qadir Trust case is the biggest scandal of corruption, as PTI Chairman Imran Khan created a fake trust to whiten his black money. Rawalpindi-The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) has finalized all the arrangements for Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) annual exams 2023 which would start in Rawalpindi division on May 20, Saturday. According to Chairman RBISE, Muhammad Adnan Khan, foolproof arrangements have been made for the HSSC annual exams. He informed that the board on the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaquat Ali Chatha, had made best possible arrangements for the exams. The district administration and the special branch would send lists to the commissioner office and the board office after completing the verification process. He said strict monitoring of the examination centers would be ensured by the board and the district administration.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that Pakistan is facing a situation of rapid changes at present and needed to adapt to those changes.
