— Amnesty accuses Sharif of ‘exercising fear’ of military ‘never been held to account for its overreach’ISLAMABAD: The authorities on Wednesday pressed on with efforts to try civilians involved in recent anti-government protests before military courts despite appeals from a leading international rights group and a local watchdog. Military trials in Pakistan are usually held behind closed doors, depriving civilians of some of their basic rights, including contracting a lawyer of their choice. Angry supporters torched buildings and vehicles and attacked police and military personnel and facilities. On Wednesday, the high court of Islamabad extended Khan’s bail and protection from arrest until the end of the month. The HRCP said civilians arrested should be tried in civil courts and not military ones — reserved for troops suspected of working against the country’s national interests and violating military rules.

A nation is built by its leader. A leader is an authority figure who leads and commands their group, organization, or country. Without a meritorious leader, no country, nation, or even an organization or group can succeed. A leader should be a courageous person who speaks what they consider is in the interest of their nation. A leader not only seems to solve the current issues of their people but also keeps their vision always for the future of their nation.

Since July, operations remain on hold and unfortunately, due to various issues and delays caused by floods, the train service is still suspended. The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) held Pakistan Railways responsible for the failure of the ITI freight train’s operations last year. The revival of the ITI train service is vital for improving trade and connectivity between the three countries.
