President Biden repeatedly stumbled, paused and could not complete sentences, prompting some people to wonder whether they could replace him ahead of November. “The question every voter should be asking themselves today is not whether Joe Biden can survive a 90-minute debate performance, but whether America can survive four more years of crooked Joe Biden in the White House," Trump said. Individual state delegations would need to be lobbied to replace Biden ahead of a virtual roll call where the party intends to nominate Biden. There is no evidence President Biden is willing to end his campaign. He didn’t stutter.”Even Democrats have to admit that President Biden performed poorly, Mr. Caton said.

We could have a one-off 8% or an 8.5% growth, but that is not what the steady state growth would be. I think the steady state would be closer to 7% to 7.5% in a good year. I think to get to a sustainable growth path of 8% to 9%, we need to do quite a bit more. We could have a one-off 8% or an 8.5% growth, but that is not what the steady state growth would be. I would think that there is some way for the 10-year bond yield and other yields to kind of drop a little more.

A Delhi court on Saturday sent Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till July 12 in a case filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with alleged corruption in now scrapped excise policy 2021-2022. The order for the judicial remand was passed by the special Judge Sunena Sharma of Rouse Avenue Courts, after the CBI had moved an application seeking judicial custody remand for the Delhi CM. Counsel representing Mr. Kejriwal opposed the judicial custody remand application stipulating that the excise policy case is going on since 2022 even though the CM was arrested in March 2024. He also moved an application to seek details of material collected against his client in alleged excise policy case. The ED had alleged him to be the “key conspirator” in framing the now defunct excise policy.

BENGALURU: In a bid to maintain high food quality standards and adherence to protocols, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) conducted intensive inspection at more than 200 bus stands across the state, targeting over 700 shops, to identify those selling products past their expiry date or without FSSAI licensing, which regulates consumption quality standards. The official said that in May, several complaints indicated that the quality of food items sold at bus stands, particularly those at the town and district levels, was compromised and not safe for consumption. The cases were highlighted by a few people who had taken to social media to report about the quality of food sold at bus stands. As a response, the first phase of inspections were conducted, aiming to penalise sellers in accordance with the Food Safety Act, 2006. This is to serve a warning to ensure that nothing which compromises with people’s health is sold,” the official mentioned.
