Boy dies of infection caused by rare brain-eating amoeba in Kerala
KOZHIKODE: A 12-year-old boy, who was undergoing treatment for primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM) at a private hospital in Kozhikode, died on Wednesday night. This is the third fatality due to the rare ‘brain-eating’ amoeba infection in the state in the past two months. V Dakshina,13, a resident of Kannur, died of the infection at a hospital in Kozhikode on June 12. The disease is caused by Naegleria fowleri and Vermamoeba vermiformis, brain-eating amoeba found in warm fresh water bodies such as lakes and rivers. The infection occurs when the amoeba enters the body through the nose and travels to the brain, leading to the destruction of brain tissue and swelling.

Delhi Weather: एनसीआर में बदला मौसम, दिल्ली, नोएडा और गुरुग्राम में तेज बारिश ने दिलाई उमस से राहत
डिजिटल डेस्क, नई दिल्ली। दिल्ली-एनसीआर में मानसून की दस्तक होने के बाद मौसम का मिजाज पूरी तरह से बदल गया है। राजधानी सहित एनसीआर के कई इलाकों में बुधवार देर रात से गुरुवार की सुबह तक रुक-रुककर बारिश का दौर जारी है।वहीं, दिल्ली से सटे गुरुग्राम में गुरुवार सुबह से तेज बारिश हो रही है। इससे कई क्षेत्रों में जलभराव हो गया है। बुधवार को भी शहर में 35 एमएम बारिश हुई थी। इससे उमस भरी भीषण गर्मी से राहत महसूस हो रही है।ताजा जानकारी के अनुसार, गुरुवार यानी चार जुलाई को दिल्ली में तापमान 32.02 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया है। आज दिन में न्यूनतम 26.05 डिग्री सेल्सियस और अधिकतम तापमान 35.37 डिग्री सेल्सियस रह सकता है।वहीं आर्द्रता 64 प्रतिशत है और हवा की गति 64 किमी/घंटा है। वहीं कल शुक्रवार यानी 5 जुलाई को दिल्ली में न्यूनतम 30.33 डिग्री सेल्सियस और अधिकतम तापमान 36.36 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहने का अनुमान है।ये भी पढ़ें-Delhi Weather: बारिश से मौसम हुआ सुहाना, छतरी निकालनी है या नहीं; मौसम विभाग ने दिया अपडेटदिनभर छाएं रहे बादल, दोपहर से शाम तक बारिशदिल्ली-एनसीआर में बुधवार को पूरे दिन बादल छाए रहे। दोपहर ढाई बजे से शाम साढ़े चार बजे तक कहीं तेज तो कहीं हल्की बारिश होती रही। बारिश के साथ तेज हवा चलने से लोगों ने उमस भरी गर्मी से राहत की सांस ली है। नोएडा में बुधवार सुबह सात बजे से ही आसमान में बादल छाने लगे थे। बदली रहने के साथ सुबह के समय तेज हवा चली। धूप नहीं निकलने के कारण उमस कम रही।कब तक होगी बारिश? इस कारण घरों से बाहर निकले लोगों ने राहत की सांस ली। मगर बीच-बीच में कई बार धूप निकली तो उमस ने परेशान किया, लेकिन दोपहर ढाई बजे के बाद बारिश का सिलसिला शुरू हुआ। जिससे शाम तक लोगों को राहत पहुंची। अधिकतम तापमान 32 डिग्री और न्यूनतम तापमान 23 डिग्री तक पहुंच गया।दक्षिणपूर्व दिशा से चली हवा की रफ्तार 5.6 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटा रही। आर्द्रता का स्तर 100 प्रतिशत रहा। आइएमडी का कहना है कि आगामी एक सप्ताह का तक गरज चमक के साथ बारिश होती रहेगी। वहीं नोएडा का एयर क्वालिटी इंडेक्स शाम को सात बजे 76 के साथ संतोषजनक श्रेणी में दर्ज किया गया।बारिश के दौरान जगह-जगह लगा जामबारिश में भीगने से बचने के लिए कई लोग एलिवेटेड रोड के नीचे और सड़क किनारे लगी टेन शेड के नीचे रुक रहे। वाहनों को सड़क पर खड़ा कर दिया। इससे जाम की स्थिति बनी। सेक्टर-125 स्थित एमिटी यूनिवर्सिटी से लेकर डीएनडी फ्लाई-वे, सेक्टर-95 महामाया फ्लाईओवर और दिल्ली के कालिंदी कुंज से ओखला पक्षी विहार मेट्रो स्टेशन तक जाम की स्थिति बनी।

जागरण संवाददाता, बाहरी दिल्ली। बुराड़ी में यमुना किनारे बड़ी संख्या में मृत अवस्था में मछलियों के मिलने से हड़कंप मच गया। मछलियों के शव से निकलने वाली दुर्गंध से ग्रामीण परेशान हैं। इतनी संख्या में मछलियों के मरने के कारण अभी स्पष्ट नहीं हो पाया है। ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि फैक्ट्रियों के कैमिकल युक्त पानी के कारण मछलियों की मौत हुई है।बुराड़ी में यमुना घाट नंबर चार के पास पिछले तीन से दिन से बड़ी संख्या में मृत अवस्था में मछलियां पहुंच रही हैं। किसान रामकिशन ने बताया कि यमुना में जहां-जहां जल खुंबी और रूकावट है, वहां बड़ी संख्या में मछलियों के शव अटक हैं। इस कारण पूरे क्षेत्र में बदबू फैल चुकी है, लोगों का रहना मुश्किल हो गया है।
