The Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore, Nana Ayew Afriyie, has said that it is shameful that the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, would react to the ruling of the Supreme Court based on his emotions. Ghana is a member of the CPA( Commonwealth Parliamentary Association). Nana Ayew Afriye added that what the Supreme Court had done with its ruling of Wednesday, March 9, 2022, was rather a blessing to parliament. SHS student stabbed to death at Anyinam Obuasi
The incident which happened at Anyinam Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, has been confirmed by the Obuasi Divisional Commander, ASP Dwamena Akenten. The fight according to ASP Dwamena was between two gangs, one of which the deceased belonged to. During the free-for-all fight, someone stabbed Illiasu on his ribs and both arms,” he stated in Twi. The police commander said those who were around during the fight failed to attend to the deceased when he was stabbed causing him to bleed to death. While appealing for information related to the crime from any witnesses, ASP Dwamena said the body of the deceased has been deposited at a mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

Deputy Finance Minister, John Ampontuah Kumah has stated that government will need the support of the minority caucus in parliament to implement the E-Levy. According to him, the majority caucus in parliament does not currently have the numbers to pass the E-Levy bill. "The minority is not in support of the E-Levy, and given the current structure of parliament, if we do not get both sides to agree, it would be difficult to pass the E-Levy bill.
