He further stated that, ICTs pose difficult challenges for electoral integrity despite how good and sophisticated it is in working. “In recent years, foreign governments have used social media and the internet to interfere in elections around the globe. Social Media has proved a useful tool for the extremist group to send messages of hate and to incite violence,” he added. WAEON seeks to support its member organizations to identify and advance best practices for election observation to promote democratic elections in West Africa.

General Secretary of GMA, Dr. Justice Yankson attributed this to the surge in the country's case count of coronavirus. He pointed out that this could lead the country to experience a third wave of the virus which is fast spreading. So clearly, this could be the beginning of potentially another third wave...Our ability to handle severe critical cases in terms of ICU spaces, generally as a country we don’t have enough space for that category of persons. Another concern raised by Dr. Yankson is inadequate oxygen and other equipment at the major hospitals in the country. Ridge Hospital, according to myjoyonline report has 16 ICU beds, with 8 beds already occupied.

He said that, in relation to judgement debts that have recently been awarded the country, this government has rather done a better job at avoiding the payment of higher debts; debts he edescribed as "unnecessary." Speaking on GhanaWeb TV's The Lowdown, Joseph Cudjoe said that the government has saved the nation from paying very colossal amounts in debts and those are small slips compared with the other higher payments made in past governments. A staep that was being taken to curtail that unnecessary spending, some successful, few slip - one slip, and then you are crying? "We weren't on a frivolous spending and that came; you were implementing a solution and that came out of it," he explained. First deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Maxwell Opoku-Afari, providing details at a workshop for Business Journalists said the digital currency when fully adopted will outline the use of other digital currencies. “Digital Currency is part of the central bank acknowledging the need for digital payment and digital delivery of financial services. By this, the Bank of Ghana will provide a platform on which we can add more value to digital transactions,” Dr Opoku-Afari said.

Reports from Graphic disclosed that the Form Two student, name withheld, has been handed over to the police for investigation. Based on a recent fire recorded on June 23, 2021, authorities of the school set up a Committee to investigate the unfortunate incidents at the school. The student who explained that he was forced to enroll at Accra Academy confessed that he secretly set the dormitory on fire intending to close down the school. In January 2021, GhanaWeb reported on a fire incident at one of the new dormitories at Accra Academy which destroyed several properties including food items, trucks, books, chop boxes, mattresses among other valuables.
