The 24-year-old Philip Amissah established his business, Colourful Vision Artisans, after applying for jobs in numerous manufacturing companies but never got feedback from any. After figuring out his painting potential, he jumped on the opportunity and enhanced his skill by using the internet. Currently, he's employed 30 people and has 15 apprentices working under him. Philip Amissah has worked on several big projects like the painting of one of the branches of Volta River Authority (VRA), Ghana Commercial Bank office near the SSNIT parking lot in Accra. Aside the commercial and residential painting, he does POP ceilings, plaster boards, epoxy flooring, concrete stamping and water proofing (rising damp treatment).

Crime & Punishment of Friday, 20 August 2021Source: classfmonline.comA 34-year-old man, Elijah Tenbintey, has allegedly been shot dead by an ex-military man at a mining site at Manso Kaniago in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region. Mr. Nsiah said the locals, upon hearing the death of Elijah, stormed the mining site and, together with the colleagues of the deceased, allegedly attacked a Chinese man who was also at the mining site. He said the Chinese man was alleged to have instructed the ex-military man to fire the gunshot. He said the security man who fired the gunshot is currently on the run while the Chinese man who was attacked by the locals is receiving treatment at the St. Martin’s Catholic Hospital at Agroyesum. The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of the same hospital for preservation and autopsy.

The current state of the primary school can at best be described as a death trap as it has tilted to one side posing a greater danger to both pupils and teachers. Aside from some classrooms being dusty and not cemented, the structures are open structures with several distractions, a situation that affects academic work. The Odikro of Addokrom, Nana Kumi Acheaw tells GhanaWeb that the structures which accommodate the lower and upper primary pupils were constructed in 2009 by the community with some support from the District Assembly. Nana Kumi Acheaw indicates that after almost 12 years, the structures which have not seen any major rehabilitation are not fit to be used by the pupils any longer.

The Ministry's comment follows claims made by the minority in parliament that the government had already made use of the funds in the account before breaking grounds for the Agenda 111 project. In a press release sighted by GhanaWeb, the Finance Ministry said the US$100 million which is equivalent to GH¢600 million will be disbursed to contractors according to the project work plan. According to the Finance Ministry, only GH£36 million has been released as part of pre-construction mobilisation for the Agenda 111 project. The statement added, “The said amount had been released into the project account at the BoG but not utilised yet. Each hospital under the Agenda 111 project will cost US$16.88 million.
