According to him, this was necessary to derive maximum benefits associated with oil and gas resources in the sub-region. Making his submission at the ongoing Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, United States, Opoku Prempeh highlighted that these best practices when shared and adhered to will enable member countries to advance through valuable exchange of experiences. He stressed that nearly half of member countries in West Africa are endowed with rich oil and gas resources yet they lacked the requisite capacity for exploitation without seeking assistance from foreign firms. He cited the case of Nigeria where oil company, Shell had long commenced drilling for oil before the first discovery in 1956.

These were the words of the chief of Aboabo 1 and 2 when Reverend Owusu Bempah and his entourage visited the community to commission a mechanized borehole for the people of the two communities. To him, the arrival of the borehole which was wholly funded by Reverend Owusu Bempah is an answer to the prayers of members of the communities. On why he picked Aboabo, Reverend Owusu Bempah said a news item on UTV highlighting the situation in the community caught his attention and that after seeing the story he made moves and the result of his actions is the borehole which henceforth will serve the community. The Municipal Chief Executive of Akuapem North, Asiedu Larbi said that one of his Assembly's major problems have been solved by Reverend Owusu Bempah and he is grateful to him.

The community mining scheme was introduced by the government to enable people in host communities engage in mining under the perview of the Minerals Commission. It is intended to create new jobs and help improve the standard of living of Ghanaians in host communities.

Nana Otuo Sibiri told the President that “Today we are here specifically Mr President to give you our response to a letter that we received from the Presidency under your hand, Mr President dated 26th of July 2021. “In the said letter you referred to a petition that had been sent to you by ASEPA which petition demanded the impeachment of the Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana following allegation that had been made against him. “Mr President the Council of State had made its findings and we are here to present to you the findings of the Council of state as to whether prima facie case had been made to warrant the start of impeachment process for the removal of the Chief Justice.”The ASEPA had petitioned the president to invoke provisions of Article 146 to commence impeachment proceedings against the Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah. Although the Chief Justice has denied the accusation and asked the Police to probe the matter, ASEPA contends that the allegations have brought the name of the Judiciary into disrepute and cast a serious slur on justice administration in the country, hence the presidential petition.
