The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, said approximately 20 million of the Ghanaian adult population had been targeted for vaccination within the shortest possible time. As of August 12, 2021, Ghana had administered approximately 1.27 million doses of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS). Overall, the number of COVID-19 cases in the country reached 109,736 as of August 12, 2021. Facilities to be provided include; Out-Patient-Department (OPD), Maternity, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Units, Accident and Emergency Units, Male, Female, Paediatric and Isolation Units.

According to prosecution, the complainant had also rented an apartment where the accused and her siblings lived. Prosecution said as soon as the complainant left Ghana, accused rented out the apartment, sold the two salons and a Toyota Corolla without the knowledge of the complainant. When the complainant returned to Ghana in May this year, prosecution said the complainant could not find the accused hence got stranded in the country.

The downpour cut out some parts of the Upper West Region leading to reduced mobility and consequently affecting the economic activities. When the bridge washed away, the regional minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin-Salih, went on a tour of the place to ascertain the extent of the damage. “I am heartbroken after our tour of the Upper West Region to ascertain the level of havoc on the roads as a result of the recent torrential rains. The devastation of the roads is widespread and intensive, we, therefore, need massive and timely intervention to restore the roads. I have informed the Minister of Roads and Highways about the state of our roads and we expect swift intervention from his ministry,” he wrote.

From a Ghanaian perspective, Black Stars Head Coach C.K Akonnor and Head of the National teams' department Alex Asante have arrived in Cameroon for this evening's draw. The draw which will take place at Palas de Congres Hotel in Younde will see the 24 participating teams divided into six groups of four. Host Cameroon are in Pot 1 with champions Algeria, 2019 finalists Senegal, three-time champions Nigeria and 1976 champions Morocco. The 24 qualified teams are allocated to four pots of six teams each, based on the FIFA/Coca Cola World Ranking released on 12th August (the last ranking released before the date of the draw).

The Construction of the projects, a collaborative venture between the Government of Ghana and PlanetOne from Dubai, is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Education Africa Ventures and SUMEC Complete Equipment & Engineering Company Limited are the Contractors for the overall upgrading and modernization of the vocational education system in Ghana. This came to light when the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education visited to inspect the progress of work at the Institute. They were accompanied by officials from the Ministry, and the Acting Director-General of Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah. The facilities, which were at various stages of completion would increase student enrolment at BVTRI from 1,454 to more than 3,000.

According to John Dramani Mahama, the Electoral Commission has proven on countless occasions to be hostile to the NDC in recent times hence the party has also taken strategic steps to win the next elections fairly. He noted that one of the strategic steps of the party is to ensure that they win the next elections at the polling station and not to resort to the Supreme Court.
