According to myxyzonline.com, the former MP for Bole-Bamboi died on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in Accra. Akati won the Bole-Bamboi seat with 11,452 votes in 2008, succeeding John Dramani Mahama who was contended with the late John Atta Mills for thepresidency that year. That was when he began his political career, representing his constituents in the 5th parliament. Mr Akati was survived by seven children.

Leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ambassador Victor Smith, has advised delegates to re-elect incumbent national executives. The 10th National Delegates Congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will witness a total of 8,964 delegates from across the country. The party’s Women and Youth Conference took place on December 10, 2022, at the University of Cape Coast. I will ask delegates to maintain executives who have performed marvelously in the last general elections which we undoubtedly won. Just as George Opare Addo and Hanna Bissiw were retained as National Youth Organizer and National Women’s Organizer respectively, he charged delegates to retain Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Asiedu Nketiah and Joshua Akambah in their respective positions.

National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has turned to the Bible amid a raging media row with the party's National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo, alias Pablo. In his first response on the matter, Sammy Gyamfi promised to reply Pablo in due course stating that he was not wrong to support a different candidate against Pablo in a recent National Youth Organizer contest. He posted a tweet that read:"Proverbs 26:4-5 on my mind; Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes." Sammy Gyamfi is due to appear on Onua FM/TV's Maakye show this morning.

In a press statement, EOCO said these vehicles were retrieved from some garages in Ghana, on December 9, 2022 and the suspects have since been questioned and granted bail. EOCO’s statement comes following allegations by some importers of used vehicles that the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) and National Security unlawfully raided their garages and seized their cars. “Even if it has been alleged that the cars have been stolen, to us we know we are not selling such cars. We clear them here in Ghana, we have all the necessary documents to support whatever we are saying.

First was in 2018 and then in 2022, two consecutive electoral faceoffs and George Opare Addo has come tops against Brogya Genfi in the race for the National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Opare Addo moved from 523 to 533 votes to secure reelection whereas Genfi went from 396 to 508. Pablo added a paltry 10 votes over the last four years whiles Genfi added a whooping 112 votes to his total from 2018. From the foregoing, Opare Addo won the race in principle but when one crunches the numbers vis-à-vis 2018 vs. 2022, it is clear that he “lost” to Brogya Genfi. Pablo defeats Genfi againThere were tense moments during the counting of votes as supporters of both candidates sang and danced amid claims of having won the vote.

In a tweet shared on Sunday, December 11, 2022, the MP said that the BBC has been referring to persons who illegally enter Europe from Morocco as illegal migrants from Africa but were quick to describe Morocco as any Arab Nation when they qualified for the semi-finals of the World Cup. Even the great BBC said after the game that, Morocco was the 1st Arab Nation to qualify for a World Cup semi-finals. “Yet, when Migrants cross the Mediterranean and enter Spain or Italy from Rabat, the BBC call them illegal migrants from an 'African Nation',” parts of the MPs tweet read.
