There were allegations of rights abuses in the areas where the Defense Force clashed with FANO. And the Defense Force has to note the rush to launch a large-scale military operation in the Amhara region and question its desirability. How about the defense force senior officials taking the initiative to hold talks with FANO representatives? After all, FANO was a big ally of the Ethiopian Defense Force when it was battling the TPLF. There is no enmity between FANO and the Defense Force, and the latter should not be a tool for the malicious politics of Abiy Ahmed’s administration.

The government introduced the latest internet blackout following the clash between the Ethiopian Defense Force and the Fano, a volunteer youth organization, in the region in the past few days in many parts of the region. Demeke Mekonen, the deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, on Wednesday himself expressed his concern about the situation in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. Woman killed on 33rd St. in Newport News Thursday morning
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Newport News Police confirmed to WAVY they are investigating a Thursday morning homicide. Police dispatch received the first call about a shooting at 8:42 a.m.Officers were called out to the 1100 block of 33rd Street to investigate. They arrived to find a woman outside a home suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She died at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
