Ethiopia and South Sudan have signed a new agreement for air transportation services that will replace the temporary permission that was previously granted. The agreement was signed by the Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority and his counterpart from the Government of South Sudan. The new agreement will provide a legal framework for the temporary permission flights and will adhere to the standards and principles set by the International Civil Aviation Organization. Additionally, the civil aviation authorities of both countries have agreed to collaborate on various issues, including search and rescue efforts, and are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding to formalize their cooperation. Ethiopian Airlines currently has two regular flights a day to Juba, the capital of South Sudan.

"Our ambitious fleet renewal and expansion programme will see Air India operate the most advanced and fuel-efficient aircraft across our route network within five years," Air India Chief Executive Campbell Wilson said in a statement. Boeing’s status with ChinaBoeing’s status with China has been on hold since the trade war began in 2017. Only a few of these were delivered to lessors for operation by airlines outside China. Boeing Co. halted a trial set to begin Tuesday by settling another case with the families of those killed in a 2019 Ethiopian Airlines jet crash, a Boeing lawyer said Tuesday. A Boeing 737 Max operated by Ethiopian Airlines crashed shortly after takeoff March 10, 2019, killing all aboard. Boeing manufactured and delivered the aircraft to Ethiopian Airlines in November 2018, the original complaint said.
