The government ensures that the due process of law would be followed in ensuring accountability and justice for the reported terrorist acts. Three - There has been no single case of 'shoot-at-sight' by the security forces in aid of civil power deployed in the aftermath of the terrorist acts. Four - There has been no case of firing from helicopters during the law enforcement operations, other than for surveillance, rescue of stranded law enforcement personnel at certain locations, and facilitating passage for firefighting vehicles during emergencies. While the APC under question was quickly pulled out of service, the other images of law enforcement transports using UN insignia lacked any evidentiary basis.

Negotiations between the EU and India continue at a "technical level," an EU statement said after the delegation's visit earlier this month. The European Commission delegation had told India that the carbon tax's primary intent was not to raise revenue but to ensure the supply of greener goods to the EU market. The EU delegation suggested India could implement its own carbon tax to fund advancements in supply chains and cut carbon emissions, while maintaining its share of the EU market.

BEIRUT, Lebanon, July 28, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - Hezbollah has evacuated positions in south and east Lebanon after Israeli threats of reprisals for a deadly strike on the annexed Golan Heights, a source close to the group said Sunday. Israel blamed Lebanon's Hezbollah movement for firing a Falaq-1 Iranian rocket but the Iran-backed group -- which has regularly targeted Israeli military positions -- said it had "no connection" to the incident. Hezbollah has a strong presence in east Lebanon's Bekaa valley, which borders Syria, and in south Lebanon, where it has been launching near daily attacks on Israeli positions since October in support of ally Hamas. Hezbollah had already abandoned positions in Syria in early June after Israeli raids, according to the Britain-based Observatory, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria. That strike prompted Iran to launch a first-ever direct missile and drone attack against Israel on April 13-14, sending regional tensions skyrocketing.

There are two components to the time capsule — the underground vault and the pyramid he built over the vault years later. Inside the pyramid, Davisson put what he described as "an old beater of a Toyota."
