Timing is not the only factor that influences traffic fatalities; location matters too. The good news is that vehicle thefts have also been trending down over the past two decades. In 2017, the number of vehicle thefts nationwide was about a third lower than what it was in 1998 and the rate of vehicle thefts per 100,000 people was nearly halved. Most car thefts occur in Western states, such as New Mexico, Nevada, and California. When considering the likelihood of collision, traffic fatalities, motor vehicle thefts, and inclement weather, some cities are more dangerous for drivers than others.

Bangladesh's education system has undergone a major transformation with ninth graders now entering their new classes without being segregated into traditional streams - science, arts, and business studies, reports bdnews24.com. While some parents have expressed concerns about the new approach, students have indicated a preference for the revised curriculum, which encourages collaborative learning through group assignments. The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) believes that the new system will better equip students to adapt to life's changes. However, critics of the new curriculum argue that it may result in reduced focus on science, potentially leaving students less prepared for higher secondary education. This has prompted the formation of the 'Sammilito Shikkha Andolan' campaign, which opposes these changes.

A grand temple to Hindu god Lord Ram opens on Monday on a site in India millions believe is his birthplace, in a religious spectacle led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi months before he seeks a rare third term in elections. The construction of the temple is a 35-year-old, central promise of Modi’s Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a contentious political issue that helped catapult the party to prominence and power. It is also being seen as the virtual launch of the deeply religious strongman Modi’s re-election campaign for general elections due by May. The temple site was bitterly contested for decades with both Hindus and Muslims laying claim to it and was a flashpoint for violence after a Hindu mob in 1992 destroyed a 16th century mosque which stood there. India's majority Hindus say the site is the birthplace of Lord Ram, and was holy to them long before Muslim Mughals razed a temple at the spot and built the Babri Masjid or mosque there in 1528.

Jackson SunI’ve watched Kentucky basketball since I was a kid and I admit that sometimes I do get a little carried away. I began to ponder; do I read my Bible with excitement and anticipation like that young man holds a basketball? You would think the Bible would be the most highly sought-after and exciting resource in the world but it is usually the last resort. Too often, we only think about God when we need Him instead of because He is the center of our lives. Most of us know what we should do, but sadly our rebellious nature against God is usually more persuasive than our willingness to obey Him.

It was a full team effort on Friday night, as Cornell men’s hockey (9-4-3, 4-4-1 ECAC) made a splash on offense, defeating Ivy League foe Princeton (6-10-2, 5-6-2 ECAC), 6-2. “Me, O’Leary and Mack were just having a great game,” Castagna said, speaking on behalf of his linemates. Some stellar defensive play by Cornell, aided by some strong saves by Shane, anchored Cornell to a successful penalty kill. 41 seconds after Princeton tied the game, Castagna received a beautiful feed from O’Leary and buried it, regaining the lead. With just under nine minutes left in the game, Castagna came scorching into the offensive zone and laid a drop-pass back for junior forward Sullivan Mack.
