Photo: BSSNARSINGDI, Dec 31, 2025 (BSS) - Police has seized 143 sacks of cumin, allegedly imported in violation of regulations, during an operation at the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway near Dorikandi Bus Stand under Belabo Police Station in Narsingdi. Mostak Ahmed (33), son of Md. According to police, acting on a tip-off, a team carried out the operation around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, arresting Mostak Ahmed along with the cumin. Belabo Police Station Sub-Inspector Mohammad Enayet Karim said the arrestee failed to produce any documents supporting the import, prompting suspicion that the cumin was brought in violating regulations. A regular case has been filed with Belabo Police Station in connection with the incident.
