Buffett's latest annual letter to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders released Saturday morning was filled with a mix of both. "Moreover, neither of us expected that Charlie would ever own a share of Berkshire stock. Nevertheless, Charlie, in 1965, promptly advised me: `Warren, forget about ever buying another company like Berkshire. But now that you control Berkshire, add to it wonderful businesses purchased at fair prices and give up buying fair businesses at wonderful prices. With much back-sliding I subsequently followed his instructions.”For more AP coverage of Warren Buffett look here: https://apnews.com/hub/warren-buffett or see Berkshire Hathaway news here: https://apnews.com/hub/berkshire-hathaway-inc

Cornell (16-5-5, 11-5-3 ECAC) blew a late third-period lead after coming from behind twice earlier in the game, ultimately falling in overtime, 4-3, at the hands of Clarkson (16-14-1, 10-8-1 ECAC). Eight minutes into the period, following a strong offensive zone shift by Cornell, Clarkson ultimately cashed in first. Bancroft wristed a hard shot that beat Roden cleanly with 25 seconds left in the frame, squashing Clarkson’s momentum heading into the final period. The Golden Knights pulled Roden for the extra attacker and found the back of the net with just 26 seconds left in regulation. Clarkson carried that momentum into the overtime period, where it dominated possession over the Red and eventually notched the game-winner.

The government cannot bring down the escalating prices of essential commodities if Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas wars continue, a senior cabinet minister says. It appears that the entire world has become a battlefield, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader lamented while speaking at a press conference in the party chief’s political office in Dhaka on Saturday. “War means rise in commodity prices. We’re trying to bring the prices under control as much as possible, but they cannot be controlled fully if the wars continue,” Quader said, citing the wars in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, other parts of Africa and the rest of the world. When a journalist asked why the government efforts to bring prices down were failing, Quader, who is also the Awami League general secretary, said: “Please show me where prices are under control in the world – from the US, to the UK, to Europe, Africa or the Middle East.
