LGBTQIA+ artwork projected onto US embassy for Pride
The United States embassy in Buenos Aires has been transformed into an immersive canvas in honor of Pride. The week-long event, “Pride Mapping,” features artwork by LGBTQIA+ artists and allies — from both Argentina and the US — being projected onto the Bosch Palace, Avenida Liberador 3502 until November 12. The artists collaborated with UXArt Lab Museo to create 3D projections and art data with generative artificial intelligence technology, using their masterpieces as a starting point. Andrea Pasut, an artist involved in the project, told the Herald that at first, she had some reservations about the involvement of AI. “My art is about reaching as many people as possible, expanding the artistic view toward diversity,” she said, explaining that after discussing it with Durán, her artwork is being projected without AI intervention.

The presidential debate is Sunday and it has a new format. Here’s what you need to know
Presidential candidates Sergio Massa (Unión por la Patria, UxP) and Javier Milei (La Libertad Avanza, LLA) will meet Sunday for their only one-on-one debate before the November 19 run-off. Given that their are only two candidates now, their will be a change in format from the two presidential debates carried out before the October 22 election. If a candidate does not use his allocated six minutes on any given subject, he loses that time, meaning he cannot add it to another topic. The debate will be broadcast on radio and on public television with a sign language interpreter. Not all television networks will show the event, but they are permitted to do so without paying a licensing fee.

Brazil suspect in Hezbollah bust says they were recruited 'to kill and kidnap'
A person facing terrorism charges in Brazil this week told the Federal Police of a trip to Beirut in April to meet with someone believed to be a Hezbollah leader recruiting “people able to kill and kidnap,” according to testimony. Brazil arrested two people on Wednesday in an operation to break up a suspected Hezbollah cell allegedly planning attacks on Jewish targets in Brazil. The heavily redacted statement to police did not include the suspect’s name or other key information. Ahead of the trip, the suspect said they met someone in Sao Paulo who provided US$400 in cash and 200 reais (US$40) for the trip, during which flights and hotels were covered. On the trip, the suspect described receiving an additional US$600 and an offer to acquire a taxi “to work collecting people’s information.”– Reuters
