There will be a second massive protest against the tarifazo, or the intense rate hike on basic utilities such as gas, electricity and water. Tonight at 8 PM, Argentine citizens around the country will raise their voices and pots in a noise-making protest called a ruidazo or cacerolazo. News for this ruidazo spread throughout social media, where hashtags #ruidazo, #NoAlTarifazo, and #ChauAranguren accompany virtual fliers advertising the ruidazo contra el tarifazo. Cacerolazo is the term for a protest that utilizes pots and pans, so a cacerolazo signifies huge amount of casserole pans, which is metonymic for a protest. “#Today #NoAlTarifazo 8PM Join the #ruidazo Let’s ask the Court to cut it!”This ruidazo will mark the second citywide protest of its kind since President Mauricio Macri was inaugurated in December, 2015.

However, Bauza will not be submitting a roster before talking with Messi because Messi will help the team “a lot” and “it would be key to start winning.”I’m with you Bauza, winning sounds like a good start. There’s reason to have faith in Bauza as he has yet to picture the team without Messi. On Monday it was announced with underwhelming enthusiasm that Edgardo Bauza would be the new coach of the Argentina National Football Team and yesterday, Bauza announced his priority in this nation’s most important leadership position was winning back Lionel Andrés Messi. He was runner-up, he was not a failure.” That’s really cute, Bauza, you’ve earned my trust. Maybe now that Messi has changed his hair it means he’ll change his mind about la Sección too but maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

“While the injunction is not revoked, this ruling suspends all electricity increases throughout the country,” the judge said in an interview with C5N. If increases were to be retroactive, people would have to pay several months of non-applied increases. If the Court upholds the judge’s decision, the government will still be able to take its claim to the Supreme Court, which will have the final say. The decision comes on the same day that the La Plata Federal Court will decide whether to send the Macri administration’s appeal to the Supreme Court or not. If the Macri administration decides to appeal the decision — which it probably will — it will be up to the San Martín Federal Court to back up the initial decision or revoke it.

Thursday, August 4, 2016 Spain: rival hands Rajoy hopeSpanish acting Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy addresses the media during a press conference after a meeting with Ciudadanos party leader Albert Rivera at the Spanish Parliament in Madrid. At an earlier press conference, Rivera heaped pressure on Socialist leader Pedro Sánchez, urging him and his party to accept a PP-led minority government. “This is a first step and, as you know, even the longest journey always starts with a first step,” Rajoy told a press conference after meeting Ciudadanos (“Citizens”) leader Albert Rivera. For this only the Socialists (PSOE) are big enough, but the party has repeatedly said it would oppose Rajoy. Rajoy accepted a mandate from Spain’s King Felipe to form a government but has yet to set a date for a confidence vote.

Yesterday, Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa made it clear that Montevideo accepted none of the blame for the uncertainty unleashed by the current impasse. Paraguayan Foreign Minister Eladio Loizaga was in no mood to keep things civil. The arrangement would have each member appoint a coordinator in order for the Mercosur to be extricated from its current crisis. Regardless of the back and forths over the pro tempore presidency, Uruguay has been picked as coordinator for those negotiations as Venezuela is not part of the talks. But despite the efforts, there will be one particularly notable absence — Venezuela has been excluded.

At the small Colegiales restaurant, the high end menu was served in the absence of high end pretension. The cheeseburger is a defiantly simple looking dish: meat, bun, cheese, and the classic tomato, onion, pickle and lettuce combo. Fingers crossed that a few dishes stick on the Piano Nobile menu with a Soriano stamp added on top. Part technique: cut it too thin and it falls right apart but too thick and it becomes a grotesque chew. It’s part science: only the freshest meat chosen from a cut encased in fat will keep the diner from getting sick.

Butter is the end product of the dairy production process, it comes last. While the shortage has not had a noticeable affect on the price of medialunas so far, if it continues, there will definitely be some long-lasting results.”And could the shortage in dairy production affect the production of cheese? Because butter is such a crucial part of baking medialunas, this presents the possibility of a hike in the price of our favorite facturas. If the butter crisis wasn’t already enough to give you a low-grade panic attack, there’s now a possibility that medialunas could face price hikes too. The increase in prices will surely alter the traditional cafe con leche and three medialunas combo.
