According to Amazon, Vietnamese firms have successfully sold 17 million product units to customers worldwide through their platform. The number of Vietnamese partners on Amazon has increased by 40%, accompanied by a 50% growth in export value. Similarly, Alibaba.com, a prominent e-commerce platform, reported that Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises experienced a significant expansion of nearly 50% in trans-border e-commerce trade value during the first nine months of 2023. To maximize the country’s potential in this domain, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has taken several initiatives to support domestic businesses in connecting with e-commerce platforms. The Vietnamese ministry will prioritize the training of cross-border selling skills for domestic enterprises./.

They are AirxCarbon , BUYO Bioplastics, Beekids, Toothless (Diaflow), and Trainizi.More than 500 dossiers and nominations from localities and tech villages across the nations were sent to the contest, which was launched on May 23. The resolution pointed out the general goals of Vietnam’s socio-economic development next year. They are urged to strive to successfully implement the 2024 socio-economic development plan, which will create favourable momentum for the country to achieve the targets set in the five-year development plan in the 2021-2025 period./.

It was followed by Brazil (19.1%), and the US (14.1%).In the period, Vietnam spent 261 million USD buying animal feed and raw materials from the Southeast Asian market, down 15% year-on-year./.

Vietnam’s textile, apparel exports to top 40 billion USD in 2023: VITAS

According to VITAS, the four biggest importers of Vietnamese textiles and garment in 2023 are the US with a turnover of over 11 billion USD, Japan about 3 billion USD, the Republic of Korea 2.43 billion USD, and the EU 2.9 billion USD. Diversifying markets, products, customers, and partners is a way for Vietnam's textile and garment industry to reduce its reliance on large markets. New markets have started importing products from Vietnam, helping to affirm Vietnam’s position in the global market, Giang emphasised./.

The election took place within the framework of the 24th session of the General Assembly of States Parties to the Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (World Heritage Convention) in Paris. This is the second time Vietnam has been elected to the most important executive body for culture of UNESCO. It will join 20 other member states of the committee to supervise the implementation of the convention, protect, preserve, and bring into play the values of 1,199 world heritage elements around the globe./.

Petrol prices revised down on Thursday afternoon
HÀ NỘI — Retail petrol prices were revised down from 3pm on November 23 in the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance. Specifically, the retail prices of E5RON 92 and RON 95-III were cut by VNĐ584 and VNĐ506 to VNĐ21,690 (US$0.89) and VNĐ23,024 ($0.94) per litre, respectively. Meanwhile, those of diesel, kerosene and mazut were reduced to VNĐ20,283 per litre, VNĐ20,944 per litre, and VNĐ15,638 per kilogram, respectively. The ministries decided not to deduct prices of different types of gasoline and oil for the national gasoline price stabilisation fund and refrain from using the fund. Since the beginning of the year, domestic fuel prices have seen 33 adjustments, with 18 up, 11 down, and four unchanged.

Securing 121 of the 171 valid votes, Việt Nam ranked second among the nine elected states from five regions, said the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The election took place within the framework of the 24th session of the General Assembly of States Parties to the Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (World Heritage Convention) in Paris. The World Heritage Convention is the one with the biggest membership in UNESCO, 194. Therefore, candidates have to face strong competition to be elected one of the 21 member states of the World Heritage Committee.

Việt Nam-Singapore accelerate co-operation in digital and green economy
Bilateral trade relations between Việt Nam and Singapore in digital and green economy are expected to further deepen. This February, Việt Nam and Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on green and digital economic partnership to deepen the bilateral co-operation in the two emerging areas. It is better for us to work together both bilaterally as well as regionally, even within ASEAN where we have the digital economy framework. So I think digitalisation and the green economy are some of areas of collaboration between Singapore and Việt Nam. We have our Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) scheme to support our enterprises expand into overseas markets, including Việt Nam.
