More hot days expected in July this year
The north central, northern midlands, and central regions are expected to experience more hot days than average days over the next few years. The northern midlands and north central regions will experience heat waves for around 10-15 days in the first half of July. The heat waves may last longer in the northern and central coastal regions. The southwest monsoon is likely to cause many days of rain and thunderstorms in the Central Highlands and southern regions. In the northern and northern central regions, the temperatures may be 0.5-1 degree Celsius higher.

Hand-foot-mouth, dengue rear up in HCM City
HCM CITY — HCM City is seeing an increase in the incidence of hand-foot-mouth disease and dengue fever among children due to the recent hot weather and rains. In the same period, 197 dengue fever cases were reported in the city, an 18 per cent increase from the previous four weeks. The number of children hospitalised with dengue fever increased 11.4 per cent. Dr Dư Tuấn Quy, head of the HCM City Paediatrics Hospital No. HCM City CDC has instructed medical facilities and schools to continue with disease prevention measures, and urged the public to take preventive measures.

Five suspects in Đắk Lắk deadly terrorist attacks wanted
ĐẮK LẮK — Police on Saturday morning issued special arrest warrants for five suspects allegedly involved in the recent fatal armed attacks on the headquarters of two communal administrations in Cư Kuin District in the Central Highlands province of Đắk Lắk. The provincial Police Department announced that the five suspects are wanted for allegedly committing acts of “terrorist activities against the people’s administration”. The wanted individuals are all residents of Đắk Lắk Province. The provincial police announced that anyone has the right to arrest the wanted individuals and hand them over to the nearest police station, prosecutor's office, or People's Committee headquarters. Those who apprehend the wanted suspects must promptly report to the security investigation agency of the Đắk Lắk Police located at 58 Nguyễn Tất Thành Street, Buôn Ma Thuột City in Đắk Lắk Province or via the phone number: 0694 389 133.

Vietnam names 23 players for 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup Finals

The team will have nearly two weeks to adapt to the conditions at the venue for Group E matches in the tournament. Three individuals involved in literature question leak

Vietnam attends 43rd Session of Ministerial-level FAO Conference

Addressing the opening session, Singaporean Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Co-chair of the Global Commission on the Economics of Water Tharman Shanmugaratnam highlighted the need to improve the effectiveness of water resource management to achieve the global goals related to poverty reduction, climate change response and global environment. He also commended Vietnam's successful innovations in reducing water usage in agriculture through the use of sensors and innovative irrigation practices, citing the VnSAT project as a successful model in water-saving irrigation. The election of the new FAO Director-General for the 2023-2027 tenure will take place through a secret ballot on July 2./.

"I'm really happy to see that Việt Nam shares this high ambition on biodiversity and climate," Florika Fink-Hooijer said. The deforestation risk linked to Vietnamese coffee when assessed by a global heavyweight was only half that when assessed by the Global Forest Watch," Chi said. Switzerland wishes to sign FTA between Việt Nam and EFTA members
He said that Switzerland will continue to give priority to Việt Nam in terms of development assistance and cooperation in human resources training. “Internet of Trust” required to combat rising cyber threats: conference
HCM CITY — Experts have emphasised the need for “robust measures” and “enhanced authentication systems” to effectively combat the increasing cyberthreats at the 2023 VNNIC Internet Conference held in HCM City on Friday. Nguyễn Hồng Thắng, director of the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC), proposed the concept of an “Internet of Trust,” which emphasises robust measures and enhanced authentication systems to ensure cybersecurity. To achieve this, it is vital to enhance collaboration between governments, organisations and individuals to establish a “secure digital ecosystem,” he said.
