But, in fact, the deduction for every $100 of eligible overtime would only reduce his tax bill by $100 multiplied by his top tax rate. If he’s in the 12% bracket, he’d cut his tax bill by just $12. The change was more in line with what the relevant statute says, Youngblood noted, but it means the self-employed will get less of a tips tax break than originally thought.

Lions free agency: Detroit adding OT Larry Borom
From Week 6 through the end of the regular season, Borom quietly graded as PFF’s 35th-highest graded offensive tackle (70.3). That mark was 10 spots ahead of Jamaree Salyer, 13 spots ahead of Taylor Decker, and six spots behind Yosh Nijman during that stretch. Borom does have some length limitations at right tackle, but he’s a dense, sturdy athlete with a powerful upper body who brings plenty of force as a drive blocker. He still needs to rein in some control issues, but his punch timing and placement in pass protection have improved enough to take advantage of his natural power.

Preview: Bruins return home to face the Kings
game in Pittsburgh on Sunday, the Bruins return home to TD Garden looking to extend their home winning streak to 13 games. Like the Bruins, the Kings are aiming for a wild card spot if they want to make the playoffs this season. The Kings played on Monday night, beating the Blue Jackets in Columbus in OT. The Bruins and Kings already played the LA edition of this game this season, with the Bruins beating the Kings 2-1 in OT in late November. Artemi Panarin has been pretty good for the Kings since arriving from New York, with 2G-4A-6PTS totals in six games.

Trump Rules: Trump and his aides are rewriting the rules of power in Washington. Early in March, senators gathered to take a vote meant to remind President Donald Trump of Congress’s power. The vote was merely the latest capitulation of a GOP-controlled Congress that has subordinated itself to the executive branch headed by Trump. Asked if he would work with Congress to enact new tariffs, Trump said “I don’t have to.” (He later imposed new tariffs using a different authority.) He’s worked with Democrats multiple times, once to try to cancel the fentanyl trafficking emergency Trump declared to impose tariffs against Canada, and again, to try to terminate the trade deficit emergency Trump cited to levy global tariffs.

Did Leavitt say Trump hasn't ruled out military draft, ground troops for Iran?
At the time of this writing, there is no evidence he will authorize a military draft. Leavitt did say all options were on the table when asked whether Trump had plans to send ground troops to Iran. We reached out to The White House to clarify whether Leavitt's response referred to the military draft or just having troops on the ground. Bartiromo was addressing reports from early March in which Trump said he was considering sending troops on the ground in Iran. At the time of this writing, there is no evidence that he will actually authorize a military draft.
