Israel is demanding that as part of a truce, Hezbollah would need to withdraw from nearby the Israel-Lebanon border. There is no public indication that Hezbollah would be willing to concede to such demands.

For the first time, President Biden will allow Ukraine to use U.S. long-range missiles on Russia. It is likely that these weapons will first be used in the Kursk region against Russian and North Korean troops. This decision marks a major shift in U.S. policy, coming as Biden has just two months left in office. Biden’s decision is a response to Russia’s recruitment of North Korean troops into the war. Rolling back DEI initiatives risks entrenching systemic inequities, shrinking talent pipelines and undermining the competitive edge of companies in an increasingly diverse global marketplace. As Bloomberg highlighted, rolling back DEI risks deepening systemic inequities, further limiting access to economic mobility for marginalised groups and exacerbating existing disparities.
