Musk And Ramaswamy Aim For Government Overhaul Plans to cut federal spending and reshape bureaucracy gain traction as DOGE initiative takes shapeElon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are stepping up to the political plate with their ambitious plan to combat what they describe as government inefficiencies. This initiative aims to fundamentally restructure how federal spending works, targeting what they call wasteful expenditures and unnecessary personnel. With the federal budget exceeding $6.5 trillion, Musk and Ramaswamy have promised to make significant cuts, mostly by trimming the bureaucratic fat and eliminating redundant regulations. Ramaswamy and Musk are engaging directly with this historical narrative, proposing their own revolutionary reforms. Should Musk and Ramaswamy succeed, the results may significantly reshape the federal budgetary process and the functions of entrenched government agencies.

The work we do helps our city shine, but we can’t do it without your support. You're just going to fuck up your knees and back, while also probably pulling a groin muscle. Griffin-Valade says her office will not be pursuing the case, since the bulk of the evidence is the WW's article. That said, Israel and Hezbollah are currently still trying to kill each other, and the deal is tenuous at best. Over the last three years, there has been a coordinated and intentional political strategy targeting public schools. Two-thirds of the 467 school superintendents in our national survey reported experiencing moderate to high levels of culturally divisive conflict. We found that the costs incurred by U.S. public schools’ responses to culturally divisive conflict totaled $3.2 billion during the 2023-24 school year alone. The money public schools are spending on these clashes could be better spent elsewhere. John Rogers is a professor of education and associate dean for research and public scholarship in the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies.

More than a decade ago, it seemed the tide might turn against pervasive campus sexual violence. For the next few years, the issue of campus sexual violence gained attention from the U.S. government. In March 2013, Obama signed into law the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act which, among other provisions, required many universities to offer campus-wide sexual violence prevention programming. Over the last decade, four-year colleges have instituted prevention programs that educate students on consent in relation to sexual violence. Because it is one of the most studied risk factors for experiencing sexual violence in college, institutional prevention programs put a hyper-focus on the connection between alcohol and sexual violence.
