How has the perception of the biggest problem changed for Metro Atlantans over time? Looking at our current and historical ARC Metro Atlanta Speaks (MAS) survey responses, we can see several striking ways our perception has changed since then. Coincidentally or not, “Human Services” and “Taxes” concerns have also risen by a large amount for Metro Atlantans, up 3 ranks out of the nine answer choices. While we cannot determine exactly why Metro Atlantans experienced these jumps in concern[4], the economy, human services, and taxes are all related to the perception of Atlantans feeling in need. Yes, that may reinforce the current concern of male physical heroism, as in the recent Psychiatric Times article “Our Capes Are Killing Us,”2 but Zorro seems to cushion that with a usual tongue-in-cheek atmosphere. As part of my own psychiatric career mission to serve the underserved for over 50 years, I adapted Zorro as my ego ideal. By Jonathan Stempel(Reuters) -Warren Buffett, the legendary investor and chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, has made further preparations for giving away his fortune after his death. "I've never wished to create a dynasty or pursue any plan that extended beyond the children," Buffett wrote. Buffett on Monday also donated about $1.14 billion of Berkshire stock, the equivalent of 1,600 Class A shares, to four family foundations. Susie Buffett leads the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, which funds reproductive health and is named for Buffett's first wife, and the Sherwood Foundation, which supports Nebraska nonprofits and early childhood education. Howard Buffett heads the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, which works to address global hunger, combat human trafficking and mitigate conflicts.
