In an urgent notification to internet protocol TV (IPTV) operators, the telecom regulator said that under the “must carry” rule, the tournament must also be made available on IPTV platforms including 3BB TV, NT-TOT IPTV, and AIS Playbox. The notification effectively cancels True Corp’s exclusive broadcasting rights for half of this year’s World Cup matches via its IPTV and other online platforms. But from now on, fans in Thailand can also watch the matches via other IPTV platforms. The “must carry” rule dictates that major sports events like the World Cup must be broadcast for free across all platforms in Thailand. On Wednesday, Fifa threatened to revoke Thailand’s World Cup broadcasting rights after it found Thai broadcasts of matches were being watched in neighbouring countries.

“As head of the Apec 2022 Task Force, I am grateful for all the contributions to help create history by successfully hosting the Apec 2022,” said Thanatip, a former Thai ambassador. The QSNCC served more than 5,000 people, including delegates and media people from all 21 member economies, during the Apec 2022. Meanwhile, NCC executive vice president MR Swasdivudh Svasti-vatana credited contributions from everyone in Team Thailand, including chefs, food stylists, artisans and students who worked behind the scenes to ensure Apec 2022 went on smoothly. “This success would not have happened without those people, and not just QSNCC teams,” he said. The executive also said that another pride for QSNCC was that Thai soft power was presented through food made with ingredients from local communities.

Fifa’s warning prompted SAT to immediately notify the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, urging the telecom watchdog to ensure all parties involved in the broadcasting of the World Cup 2022 finals – being held in Qatar until December 18 – strictly abide by Fifa’s broadcasting transmission encryption standard. SAT governor Kongsak Yodmanee said on Wednesday that these parties are five multiplexer DTTs, Thaicom, and all companies providing set-top box (STB) services. Fifa has asked the broadcasters to strictly encrypt its over-the-air transmissions at least to the minimum standards of “Biss CA Director” or “Power/u”, said Kongsak. Furthermore, Thaicom and the providers of STB services cannot use the Biss 1 Simultcrypt as they are now doing, he added. “Failure to comply with these rules will result in Thailand’s broadcasting rights being forfeited,” Kongsak added.

Pirated copies of software usually come with Trojans and miners and do not contain the fixes or patches released by developers to close vulnerabilities that might be exploited by cybercriminals. Use a security solution that detects not only malicious programs but also potentially unwanted instalments. • Update your operating system, security software, browser and all the programs you work with as soon as a new update comes out. A security solution with remediation feature will let you roll back actions performed by malware in the operating system, delivering protection against cryptolockers. Saudi Arabia fans shouted, “where’s Messi” and “they can’t look us in the eye,” as they made their way out of the stadium and into the streets of the city of Lusail, immediately north of the capital Doha. Argentina fans, on the other hand, were in a state of disbelief as they turned their attention to the remaining matches in the group phase against Mexico and Poland. On his fifth and final quest for the only major trophy to elude him, the 35-year-old Messi scored a 10th minute penalty in a dominant first half display where he and Lautaro Martinez also had three goals disallowed for offside.

The accompanying poem, composed by the Princess, tells the story of her teacher who kept a rabbit and a dog as pets. The two animals were close friends and together would often look up at the sky to admire the full moon. May all Thais be blessed as these two friends in all aspects in years to come,” said the poem. The Princess has graciously allowed the Phufa Shop to print the illustration and poem on several products for people to buy as gifts for their loved ones during the celebratory season. People can visit the 19 branches of Phufa Shop or head to http://www.phufa.org/shop to browse products such as polo items, T-shirts, hats, wall clocks, umbrellas, coffee mugs and hand sanitisers with the illustration and the signature of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

ADTEB secretary Dew Waratangtragoon, who is also CEO of broadcaster ONE Enterprise, said the allocation of matches was done by lottery but was still basically unfair. Dew pointed out that the NBTC had allocated 600 million baht from the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Research and Development Fund for Public Interest (BTFP) to ensure that all people could watch the World Cup matches and maintain fairness in allocating the broadcasts. "Hence, SAT's move to allocate 32 of the 64 matches to True4U does not meet NBTC's resolution to maintain fairness in broadcasting rights allocation," he said. ADTEB will file a letter of complaint with the NBTC, asking it to examine SAT's move, he added. "If NBTC stands by its principle of thoroughness and equality, ADTEB still reserves the right to disagree with SAT's move," he said.
