Initially intended to promote inclusion and diversity within the organisation, the outcome has been greatly accomplished with the byproduct of low employee resignation and turnover rates, said Stake. "The workforce has been raising questions such as, 'Have I been doing valuable work at my work or am I valuable at work?’. If we can make people feel valued at the workplace, they will stay in that workplace," Stake stated. Therefore, FleishmanHillard, which is in an industry with high turnover rates, must be mindful of retaining employees by demonstrating that the company values them and their opinions. WORKEST by Zenefits examined data from the US Bureau of Labour Statistics on employee turnover rates at the national level.

The source cited an order by National Police chief Pol General Damrongsak Kittiprapas on Wednesday instructing Narathiwat police chief Pol Maj-General Waesamae Salae to drop all his current duties. He has been stationed at the RTP’s operations centre in Bangkok until further notice. The order reportedly said the transfer was to maintain the orderly and efficient operation of the police force. The source speculated that Waesamae was transferred to prepare for an investigation after lawyer Atchariya Ruangrattanapong, chairman of the Crime Victims Assistance Club, had on October 10 filed a complaint with the National Police chief. Atchariya claimed the Narathiwat police chief had allegedly issued certificates allowing suspects involved in drugs and weapons dealing in the province to pass security checkpoints without undergoing screening.

Of the 27 per cent of all workers globally who plan to quit their jobs in the next 12 months, almost half (45 per cent) are already actively looking for jobs. Meanwhile, six out of 10 workers (61 per cent) feel confident that they would be able to find a new job in six months or less even as a recession looms. The research also identified that inflation had caused more than half (51 per cent) of workers to look for a second job, with nearly four in 10 non-desk workers (35 per cent) admitting to having worked cash-in-hand jobs to make ends meet. Even though the cost of living is a major concern of workers, they also prefer happiness at work apart from salary rise, followed by job security, having a good work-life balance, and good relationship with colleagues. However, salary is still the main reason for the decision of those who already plan to quit, followed by work-life balance, and flexibility.

Tax waiver for foreign actorsThe cabinet on Tuesday agreed to a waiver of personal income tax for foreign actors and actresses for five years, aiming to generate more than 3.5 billion baht in revenue from investments in foreign film productions. Deputy government spokeswoman Tipanan Sirichana said the cabinet approved the Finance Ministry's new Revenue Code to attract predicted investment of at least 3.5 billion baht from foreign film shoots in the country. Ms Tipanan said the ministerial regulation to waive the personal income tax of foreign actors and actresses will come into effect for five years 180 days after its publication in the Royal Gazette. Citing statistics from the Tourism Department, foreign film firms had visited Thailand to shoot a total of 198 productions worth 1.68 billion baht during the first eight months, including music videos, feature films, and advertisements, she added. The visa also offers a range of tax and non-tax benefits to attract new foreign residents, technologies and talent to stay or work in the country.

Merger will be 'no barrier' to Somkid's path to PMSomkid: 'Too early to discuss leaders'The chairman of the Sang Anakhot Thai Party (SATP), Somkid Jatusripitak, must be a prime minister candidate if the party is to merge with the Thai Sang Thai Party (TST), according to SATP spokesman Naris Cheyklin. Mr Naris was responding to media reports about a possible merger between the newly formed political parties ahead of the general election. The TST Party is headed by Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan who severed ties with the main opposition Pheu Thai Party in December 2020. Meanwhile, Mr Somkid responded to the media speculation about a possible merger between the SATP and the TST ahead of the general election. Not all of them have to be bought,” he said in an interview in Bali on Monday. The country has already kicked off changes in the power sector to reduce emissions, with state oil giant Pertamina and Perusahaan Listrik Negara seeking to build up renewable energy projects and start carbon trading, among other measures.

The G20 countries account for 80 per cent of the global economy and two-thirds of the world’s population. This year’s G20 summit of finance ministers and central bank governors, held along the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”, discussed six topics — global economy, international financial architecture, financial sector regulation, infrastructure investment, sustainable finance and sustainable taxation. The meeting agreed to consider all tools necessary to address food and energy insecurity as well as the rising cost of living in many countries. It also highlighted the importance of cooperation to ensure a coordinated global response to tackle food insecurity. The executives of the two financial institutions voiced their confidence in the Thai economy and the government’s policies on investment for long-term development, the spokesman said.
