Those who enjoy snapping photos are drawn to the area because of the breathtaking dawn. The hours between 4 and 5 in the morning, when the mist is still there, but the sun's rays are just beginning to illuminate the scene, are often regarded as the best time to see the hills by many photographers. Visitors to Long Coc may also taste numerous appealing native delicacies and teas and immerse themselves in the cultural space of the Muong ethnic community. Traditional Midland tea, Bat Tien tea, and Shan Tuyet tea are some of the region's well-known beverages. If you're a nature lover who doesn't want to spend too much time travelling but wants to get away from the city, a visit to Phu Tho's Long Coc valley is a wonderful option for the weekend.

Monrat Wiwitthanakorn, the owner of a perennial tree plantation in Phichit’s Pho Thale district, said on Tuesday that a 10 to 15-year-old resin tree can produce oil that can be mixed with diesel in a 50:50 ratio and serve as perfectly good fuel. “I have used this mixed oil in farm machines and found no problem. In fact, some machines also work with 100% oil from resin trees,” he said. It takes about two days to collect enough oil, he said, adding that the output varies from tree to tree. Monrat said he has been urging fellow farmers to plant resin trees on unused land as they are environmentally friendly and produce by-products that can help reduce farming costs.

Parliament President Chuan Leekpai said on Monday that the bill is now the second topic on the House’s agenda and can be moved up after a week’s notice. While the number of foreign passengers on international flights at Kansai International Airport jumped to about 206,000 from about 71,000 in September after the government significantly eased entry restrictions on Oct. 11, the number of Japanese passengers also increased from about 74,000 to 95,000. However, the number of Chinese visitors to Japan, which had been booming before the coronavirus crisis, has been sluggish due to the impact of the “zero-Covid” strategy in China. Both the total number of international passengers and the number of foreign tourists have recovered to only 15% of the pre-pandemic level of October 2019. On the other hand, a recovery trend for domestic flights has become clear, mainly due to an increase in the number of domestic travellers as a result of nationwide travel support measures that began in October. Domestic passenger volume at the Kansai, Osaka International (Itami), and Kobe airports totalled 2.1 million, up 70% from the same month last year, the highest level since February 2020 and more than 90% compared to October 2019.

Apec, China reopening could boost growth to 4%Thailand's economy is expected to grow by 3-4% next year, growth supported by the tourism industry and as an outcome of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit, a seminar was told. Mr Sanan said he regarded this year as a challenge for the economy as the country faced crises brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which has hit economic growth across the board. However, Mr Sanan is confident GDP will grow 3-4%, while export growth will rise to 3-5% following news that China will reopen its country by the middle of next year. China's reopening will result in an increase in foreign tourists in Thailand, doubling the number from this year to 20 million tourists. The chamber will expedite planning for the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy model and foreign investment in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), to ensure the pace of growth is maintained.

Substitute Fernandez made sure of the three points when he curled a superb shot into the top corner in the 87th minute. The result restored order for the Argentines in Group C after their shock opening 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia. Argentina, on three points, can guarantee progress with a win over Poland, top on four, in their final game on Wednesday. Mexico, who have now lost all four World Cup clashes with Argentina, have one point and must beat Saudi Arabia, on three, to have any chance of continuing their run of making the last 16 in the last seven World Cups, but even that might not be enough. With the prospect of an Argentina elimination, tensions were high on and off the ball in a scrappy first half but with the two sets of fans creating an electric atmosphere in the stadium.

PTT asked to help subsidise power chargesAn electric vehicle is recharged in Siam Square area of Bangkok. The government is trying to freeze power costs for small consumers as the price of natural gas used for electricity generation continues to force costs up. This would allow Egat to freeze its electricity charges for people who use no more than 500 units per month. The fund would also contribute alongside the proposed PTT contribution to freeze charges from January to April, he said. The country must import a large amount of expensive LNG for power generation because natural gas production in the Gulf of Thailand is declining.

Aerial footage shared on Saturday showed more than 40 wild elephants being guided across farms in Prachin Buri’s Wang Tha Chang district. The herd had reportedly made its way out of the sanctuary in neighbouring Chachoengsao province to hunt for food in Prachin Buri, which is rich with farms of sugarcane, cassava, mango and oil palm. Officials first used drones to survey the area and usher wandering elephants together before guiding them back to the sanctuary. This effort has helped minimise damage to crops and ensured the safety of villagers. A ranger explained that the herd was being ushered to Bo Krasob Forest in the heart of the sanctuary that spans 1,070 square kilometres and is home to several hundred wild elephants.
