Shippers’ council, Exim Bank offer B1bn in aid for exporters

The Exim Bank said it would provide emergency funding to assist existing clients with outstanding export obligations to the Middle East. The liquidity support of up to $150,000 will be offered to each borrower at an interest rate of 3.99% per year, requiring only a key executive as guarantor. The TNSC and Exim Bank urged exporters to revise their business plans to reduce risks.
