PTI chairman and deposed premier Imran Khan questioned on Monday the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations' (ISPR) decision of rebutting his statement about army chief’s appointment, saying the DG ISPR should have at least understood what he said and what it meant. “I would definitely ask our DG ISPR this question today that you should have at least understood what I was saying,” Imran said, adding “the whole nation is standing by my side and these thieves should never select the army chief”. Meanwhile, Imran took a jibe at Maryam Nawaz and accused her of mastering the art of telling lies. In his speech, Imran also asked people to threat back to unknown callers when they make threatening calls. Imran said that he wanted to ask all the traitors who imposed the government that the nation was paying the price of their decision.

Pakistan mulls importing Russia oil on deferred payment
"What we have discussed during the recent interaction with the Russian side is the possibility of importing oil on deferred payment," the official said. If the proposal is meterlised it will be a landmark development given that Pakistan imports oil from Gulf countries and in the past Saudi Arabia and UAE supplied Pakistan oil on deferred payment. Former prime minister Imran Khan has repeatedly accused the US for being behind his ouster in April. Putin while stressing that Russia viewed Pakistan as priority in Southeast Asia and Asia overall had invited Prime Minister Shehbaz to visit Moscow. CM approves village, industry’s gas through private sector

The CM said that LNG Easy Private Limited would provide gas to villages and industries of Punjab, while provincial government would assist the LNG Easy Private Limited in the rural gasification programme. He stated that long overdue demand of the people would be fulfilled by providing gas in the villages with the cooperation of a private sector. He said that gas for cooking would be supplied to houses through LNG Gas Grid. Pakistan reports 90 coronavirus cases, one death in 24 hours

Woman killed after being hit by train in F-17
Share:ISLAMABAD - A 36-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a speeding train while crossing a railway track in F-17 Sector, informed sources on Saturday. The body of the woman was moved to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for autopsy, where she was identified as Mrs Asad, resident of Attock district, they said. According to sources, a woman was crossing the railway track in sector F-17 and could not judge the speeding train coming from the opposite side. They said the woman died on the spot after being hit with the train. The locals alerted police about the occurrence of the incident which rushed to the scene and moved the body to PIMS for post-mortem.

‘Only early elections can tame inflation’
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday announced that the party workers across the country had been ordered to come out and protest against soaring inflation, saying that it was in Pakistan’s interest to go for early elections. Fawad said that even the release of funds from the International Monetary Fund could not help stabilise the rupee and bullion markets. Further, AML chief Rashid said elections were the only solution to the country’s problems as the incumbent government had failed and collapsed. Meanwhile, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said elections would take place on schedule as one-third of the country was submerged. Iqbal said the federal government was restoring the confidence of international organisations in Pakistan and “it will bring back economic prosperity”.
