Former Secretary of the Lagos Chapter of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Abdurrazaq Balogun, has joined the gubernatorial race on the platform of Action Alliance (AA). He promised to bring an electoral evolution and equity that would naturally compel the All Progressives Congress (APC) to hand over power to an AA candidate. The gubernatorial aspirant, while unveiling his Lagos Rebirth Agenda, stressed that the ideology does not only cover the election but also entails Lagosians’ needs and how the masses could become more comfortable in the state. He disclosed that the equity in his agenda was basically to bring about a better Lagos that would work for all irrespective of background. The Epe indigene also said that before declaring his intention to contest, a thorough evaluation of Lagos was done and that all that was discovered affecting the state was that the state needed to be restructured to work for all and sundry.

Only a callous national leadership would sleep soundly or immerse itself in politicking while the tertiary education system is shuttered. ), should personally take charge; summon the leadership of ASUU and other stakeholders and resolve the crisis immediately. Buhari’s appeal last week to ASUU to call off the strike in the interest of the students is not enough. Apparently, they have lost faith in Nigeria’s public education system. For long, many, including this newspaper, had urged ASUU to adopt alternative strategies beyond the destructive strike option.

It is incumbent that government commits to fully execute the apex court judgment and ensure that the convict refunds the N22.9bn that he misappropriated. Additionally, Justice Abubakar said the plea bargain at the High Court and the ruling of the judge were not only bizarre and embarrassing but also ridiculous and unacceptable. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Yusuf before the FCT High Court in 2016, where he admitted committing the fraud and subsequently entered into a plea bargain with the anti-graft agency. The overall effect is that ordinary Nigerians might see the government’s anti-graft campaign as being on the course, albeit unsteadily. Therefore, there is a need for speedy trials so that the saying in legal parlance that justice delayed is justice denied should not arise.

He continued: “My reason for aspiring for the office of the President is to serve the Nigerian people. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has alerted telecom consumers and members of the public on an ongoing cyber-vulnerability that allows a nearby hacker to unlock vehicles, start their engines wirelessly and make away with the cars. “Multiple researchers disclosed a vulnerability, which is said to be used by a nearby attacker to unlock some Honda and Acura car models and start their engines wirelessly. “In a related advisory, the NCC, based on another detection by CSIRT, wishes to inform the general public about the resurgence of Joker Trojan-Infected Android Apps on Google Play Store. This arose due to the activities of criminals who intentionally download legitimate apps from the Play Store, modify them by embedding the Trojan malware and then upload the app back to the Play Store with a new name,” the statement noted. NCC said the malicious payload is only activated once the apps goes live on the Play Store, which enables the apps to scale through Google’s strict evaluation process.

After graduation, a trained pharmacist can choose to be a community pharmacist, hospital pharmacist, academic pharmacist, or industrial pharmacist among other options in the pharmaceutical sector. What he was earning as a full-fledged production pharmacist is less than what he even earned as an intern. He also noted that the career prospects in industrial pharmacy are limited compared to other branches of pharmacy, adding that the challenge of working for long hours is also discouraging. Also referred to as industrial pharmacists, production pharmacists make invaluable contributions to the production of quality medicines. They are thus important to the growth of the pharmaceutical manufacturing sub-sector of the pharmaceutical industry in any nation.

The Indigenous People of Biafra has declared May 18 and 26, 2022 as sit-at-home for the people of the South-East. The group said it declared the sit-at-home, being the court dates of its detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu as part of solidarity.
