Donald Trump won New Hampshire’s Republican presidential primary election on Tuesday, further increasing his grip on the party as he heads toward a likely November rematch with Democratic President Joe Biden. Despite her ties, however, Trump has racked up endorsements from most of the state’s Republican figures, and opinion polls show him with a wide lead. Donald Trump has hit out at Nikki Haley after the former UN ambassador said she was staying in the US election race despite Trump's New Hampshire primary win. More than two-thirds of Republican primary voters said the economy was either poor or not good, an area where Biden has struggled to highlight his administration’s accomplishments. Some 47 per cent of voters considered themselves Republican, compared with 55 per cent in the 2016 primary.

World 4,000-year-old altar was ‘lost’ in Ireland. Then professor has ‘eureka moment’A folklorist and professor in Ireland discovered a 4,000-year-old tomb that was thought to be missing and destroyed, he said. The folklorist and professor had recently come across a reference to an ancient Bronze Age tomb that once existed on the peninsula. The tomb, considered “lost” since 1852, was said to have stood on the same hill overlooking the village Baile an Fheirtéaraigh in West Kerry, where Mag Fhloinn lives. That was when I realized, okay, I really think I’m on the right track here,” Mag Fhloinn said.

A stop sign has to get up pretty early in the morning to fool the Department of Transportation. To you and me a sign is a sign. And do any state highway departments even look at these definitions? And while we’re focused on the silly federal administrative state, it’s easy to forget about the equally silly state administrative state. I would also note, for the record, that federal administrators who fret that highway signs are too distracting ought to be going after those billboards with half-naked women advertising suntan oil.

The closure of the Bank of Ireland branch in Moate in recent years removed an on-street ATM from the town. Moate ATM issue: Finance Minister urged to interveneThe ongoing issue of Moate having no ATM after 9pm came into sharp focus again at this month's Athlone Municipal District meeting after one councillor called on the Minister for Finance to urgently consider ATM services for the town as part of new legislation governing access to cash to be brought forward early this year. He called for the support of other Athlone/Moate councillors to write to Minister for Finance Michael McGrath, to consider Moate for additional ATM services as part of new legislation governing access to cash, which is due to be advanced soon. His party colleague Cllr Liam McDaniel agreed to contact the Minister, saying Moate had two banks, now it has none. As it currently stands, ATM services are not regulated, something the Minister believes needs to be addressed.
