Last month, we sent our Marketing Officer Sami Abdul-Razzak to attend Europa Cinemas’ Audience Development and Innovation Lab in Bologna, which took place alongside this year’s Il Cinema Ritrovato festival. Europa Cinemas’ Bologna Lab takes place every year at the end of June, and this iteration of the programme welcomed 39 participants from 20 countries. Olympics Day 6: Bronze for rowers in Paris, McIlroy and Lowry tee off for Ireland
Emily Hegarty, Eimear Lambe, Natalie Long and Imogen Magner got Ireland off to a winning start in the 'B' final of the coxless four. In golf, Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry teed off at Le Golf National this morning in the Men’s Individual competition. Action continues this afternoon when the men’s hockey team take on Argentina at 12.15pm Irish time. In sailing the Irish pairing of Robert Dickson and Seán Waddilove start today’s medal race in second overall. Action gets underway at 1.43pm.

IT consultant killed in helicopter crash will be deeply missed, says family

Nothing’s latest phone is only a slight upgrade on its impressive budget model, the €379 Phone 2(a). Having said that, its latest model, the Phone 2(a) Plus is probably the slightest upgrade so far. It’s almost the same as the current €379 Phone 2(a) — same size, same screen, same battery life and almost the same power and cameras. The front-facing 50-megapixel camera, one of the few significant upgrades over the Phone 2(a), is also really quite good. It’s simply a question of whether you can get almost the same thing with the existing, cheaper, Phone 2(a).

In a boost for the pharma giant’s chief executive Emma Walmsley, turnover increased 8 per cent to £15.25billion, helped by cancer and HIV treatments, while profits climbed 18 Per cent to £2.5billion. Bank of Ireland raises full year forecasts amid slow pace of rate cuts

Mary Peters hails ‘extraordinary’ Olympic medal haul for island of Ireland
On Wednesday, rower Hannah Scott, 25, won gold as part of Team GB’s women’s quadruple sculls final. Northern Ireland had previously won just three gold medals in the Olympics.
