Crude oil down as official data shows huge inventory increase
Crude oil futures traded lower on Thursday morning as the official data showed a huge increase in the crude oil inventories in the US. At 9.52 am on Thursday, April Brent oil futures were at $81.21, down by 0.48 per cent; and March crude oil futures on WTI (West Texas Intermediate) were at $76.22, down by 0.55 per cent. Petroleum status report by the US EIA (Energy Information Administration) for the week ending February 9 showed a huge increase in the crude oil inventories. According to EIA, commercial crude oil inventories increased by 12 million barrels from the previous week. US has been witnessing increase in crude oil production in the recent weeks.

The Goa-based photographer’s installation reimagines the covers of 30 books that have been or are currently banned in various countries around the world, including the Satanic Verses, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Alice in Wonderland. “Children are not dumb.”Some books on Chawla’s list offer curiosity value, like D.H. Lawrence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover. The only book banned in India that Chawla has reimagined is Salman Rushdie’s Satanic Verses. The reasons behind some of the books being banned seem strange now.

Naveen unveils new SUM Hospital at Sitalapalli
BERHAMPUR : Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the new campus of SUM Hospital at Sitalapalli on the outskirts of the city here on Wednesday. The hospital, an initiative of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) group of institutions, will initially have 200 beds which will subsequently be expanded to 500 beds. Addressing on the occasion, Naveen said the new SUM Hospital will provide advanced health services to people near their homes. SUM Hospital will have specialty and super-speciality departments.
