The lawmaker furthered that Dr Bawumia is insensitive to the plights of Ghanaians and the future generation as he wondered how they will pay or his mess and the economic implications of the unsustainable debt burden on the public purse.

Siren abusers could spend 30 days in jail - National Ambulance Service warns
“So if you use the siren when you are not permitted, this is the penalty there is,” he said. He added that commercial drivers no longer give reverence to cars that use sirens because most people use it without permission. The siren is only used in an emergency by the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ghana Ambulance Service, and the Ghana Police Service. 2180 of the Act, a siren may be fitted as a warning appliance and used on certain categories of motor vehicles. 2180 also accords certain privileges to “Authorised Emergency Vehicles” when responding to emergency calls.

In its defense, the church, now known as the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC), maintained that it operates an extensive lay system that allows individuals to serve as volunteers while maintaining their secular engagements. Also, it has averred that there were thousands of pastors of the church who had operated for years in such capacities as volunteers. It has also argued that the Ghana church is a legally, financially, administratively and governmentally independent organization from all the other LCI churches domiciled in other parts of the world.

Nobody should dare come here for 2024 campaign - Demonstrating Adwumam residents
Cladded in red armbands, with others tied on their heads to register displeasure, the angry residents disclosed to GhanaWeb that they were tired of deception and incompetence on the part of the NPP government. The angry residents who held different placards had inscriptions such as "We need roads, We need jobs", "Shame disappointing man", We are tired of NPP", Kenyasi Adwumam deserves better", etc. It took the intervention of fire service personnel to douse fires that had been set by the angry residents in the middle of the roads at different joints. Car tires that were used to set fire could be seen blazing fiercely as the angry residents kept chanting different songs, depicting their anger and seriousness. They finally warned the NPP government to immediately come to fix the road, else they were going to make frequent demonstrations until their needs are met.

295 road crash deaths recorded in Ashanti since January - MTTD

Inflation rate for July 2021 hits 9%
In the statement dated August 11, 2021, the GSS disclosed that more than three-quarters of the rate of inflation recorded in July 2021 was contributed by food, housing, and transport. “The year-on-year inflation rate as measured by the Combined Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 9.0 percent in July 2021. This rate of inflation for July 2021 is the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the twelve-month period, from July 2020 to July 2021. The monthly change rate for July 2021 is 1.63 percent,” parts of the statement explained. Meanwhile, despite an acceleration in figures, inflation remains below reach of the Bank of Ghana's target set for April 2021.
