Zoomlion Ghana Limited remains a responsible corporate citizen which works ethically with integrity to promote environmental sanitation across the country.

Regional News of Monday, 16 August 2021Source: GNASome residents of Salom-Madagber, a suburb of Sege in the Ada West District of the Greater Accra Region, at the weekend expressed concern about the poor road network and called for the government’s intervention. Some of the residents told the Ghana News Agency in Ada that the bad nature of the road was putting the lives of pedestrians and passengers at risk. They also complained about the muddy and slippery nature of the roads whenever it rained, making it difficult for them to move to their destinations. The residents, who are mostly traders, said the dust from the road was posing health and economic challenges. Scores of drivers also told the GNA that due to the bad nature of the roads, it was difficult to rush sick people to the hospital on time during emergencies.

Health News of Sunday, 15 August 2021Source: www.ghanaweb.comOver 3500 persons within the Atibie enclave have benefited from a free five-day medical outreach by the Ghana Medical Relief (GMR) which began on Monday, August 2, to August 6, 2021, in Atibie. The team rendered services such as paediatric urology, medical, dental, obstetrics, health education among others, a statement has said. The medical outreach held at the Atibie Government Hospital also administered 7500 medications to the 3500 people and performed minor surgeries to those who participated in the free medical outreach. The GMR registered 500 participants and KPN sponsored the remaining 364 participants. Additionally, the Ghana Medical Relief offered Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training to students of Nursing and Midwifery college in Atibie.

The figures show that 121,002 men equivalent to 58.3 percent and women 86,389 equivalent to 41.7 percent have been vaccinated. He said that as of August 14, a total of 1,008,400 vaccines had been distributed in all 26 regions. "The data shows since the vaccination campaign was launched a total of 207,391people have been vaccinated at all centers. Tanzania plans to vaccinate 60 percent of its citizens after it received over 1 million doses of the Janssen coronavirus vaccine from the United States donated through the Covax initiative, which is co-led by Gavi, the World Health Organization (WHO) and CEPI.

Mr. Baffour-Awuah, who is the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, was returning from a funeral at Odumase and headed to Nsoatre when his driver wrongfully overtook a vehicle resulting in the accident. The Minister, according to a Citi FM reportage, was in the company of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Sunyani West Constituency, Kusi Boadum and other party members when the crash occurred. Seth Asare Bediako, the Bono Regional NPP Communications Director, told Citi FM that, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah would be discharged soon. So they were injured, and as we speak they are all admitted at the Sunyani Government Hospital, responding to treatment." But as we speak, the Minister is still on admission as well as the Constituency Chairman.

Together with colleague legislators, the South Dayi MP was involved in an accident on the Aveyime road while en route to Accra after attending the funeral of Samuel Okudzeto’s father in the Volta Region. Citinewsroom reports that an interview with Ashaiman MP, Ernest Henry Norgbey, who was in the company of Mr Dafeamekpor disclosed that the latter is hale and hearty. By and large, everything is fine,” Mr Norgbey told Citinews. The accident occurred after a KIA truck loaded with concrete blocks ran into the South Dayi MP’s vehicle, forcing the car to somersault a couple of times in the process.

The inoculation exercise, which is being spearheaded by the Ghana Health Service, will see the Johnson & Johnson vaccines being administered across the region, augmenting the numbers who have already been vaccinated nationally. On Saturday, August 7, 2021, the government of Ghana took delivery of 177,600, being the first batch of Johnson & Johnson vaccines in the country. The vaccines will be administered as single-shot doses to immunize citizens, to help curtail the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. A tweet posted on Saturday, August 7, 2021, read; "The government of Ghana today received over 177,600 the single-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccines procured under the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT) initiative." Following that, the Ministry of Health has released lists of health outlets that persons can visit to be vaccinated.
