Be vigilant at fuel stations – AOMC warns the public
Business News of Saturday, 14 August 2021Source: GNAThe Association of Oil Marketing Companies (AOMC) has cautioned the public to be vigilant, while buying fuels at any service stations, as some scrupulous Filling Station Attendants have developed ways of exploiting the customers. He said every fuel station had a visigauge, a measuring can, which helped to check the accuracy of fuel delivery, adding that every customer who felt cheated could request to check from the visigauge to confirm the quantity of product supplied. He added that “if the station manager would not want to cooperate, one could report the issue to the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Association of Marketing Oil Companies or the head office of the Filling Station. The AOMC Industry Coordinator said the customer was an important party in the oil marketing space as such, they were to raise an alarm “if they were not satisfied with the service of some attendants”. He said the inappropriate conduct of some of the stakeholders in the oil marketing businesses was of great concern to the OMCs and culprits would be dealt with accordingly.

Abronye, Oman FM slapped with GH¢2 million defamation suit over Agyeman-Manu saga

He is also demanding from Abronye and the media house and seeking perpetual against the defendants from making any statement about him. “The sum of One Million Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,000,000.00) in general damages against the 1st Defendant. “The sum of One Million Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,000,000.00) in general damages against the 2nd and 3rd Defendants”. Abronye is alleged to have accused Mintah Akandoh of making some propositions to Kwaku Agyeman-Manu over the Sputnik V fiasco.

The value of the abandoned meters and conductors is said to be GH¢59,161,964.56. The meters particularly have not been distributed to consumers because ECG management neglected to disperse old stock before purchasing new meters, according to the report. As a result, the Auditor-General has advised that the prepaid meters be distributed as soon as possible. Management bought new prepayment meters for developmental operations and abandoned the old procurement, according to the procurement status report for 2018 and store receipt vouchers.

Godfred Dame's words about the late Supreme Court Justice Marful Sau
Prominent personalities including the Attorney General, Godfred Dame, Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah and other Justices of the Supreme Court were also at his residence on Wednesday. Speaking to media persons, Godfred Dame extolled the virtues of the former Supreme Court Justice. Samuel Kofi Marful-Sau was a Ghanaian judge, an active Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He subsequently became an Appeal Court judge in 2006 and in 2018 he was appointed justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Justice Marful-Sau was also a member of the 7-member Supreme Court panel that decided the 2020 Election Petition brought before the Court by former President John Dramani Mahama.

Net 2 TV’s Justice Kweku Annan 'runs away' from former IGP suit
The plaintiff prayed the court and has now been granted an order to serve the broadcaster via other means.
