According to the Executive Director of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), Professor Henry Kwasi Prempeh, Alban Bagbin’s record of being a neutral leader has been soiled by this singular act, putting him in international headlines “for all the wrong reasons,” reports kasapafmonline.com. “How a Speaker who is not a Member of Parliament and has no legislative initiative or vote in the business of the House gets to make himself into the cheerleader for a bill, including personally guaranteeing its passage, just beats me. “…He is cast more in the mold of the Speaker in Westminster, not the Speaker of the House of Representatives in Washington," he said via a Facebook post. Alban Bagbin is reported to have described the LGBTQ+ subject as “pandemic”, stressing that it is worse than the coronavirus pandemic. “Phar-i-sees; they who see all “sins” that are far but none that is close to them,” Prof. Henry Kwasi Prempeh maintained.

Decision by UK Methodist church to allow same sex marriage won't affect Ghana - Pastor explains
This means that the church will henceforth, allow for such marriages to take place on its premises. He explained that being autonomous conferences around the world, the decision of the UK church is not binding on them. "What we need to understand is that all these other conferences: Ghana, Nigeria, United [Kingdom] Methodist Church, the US, every other place, are autonomous churches and are on their own. And, as much as the decision of the British Methodist church may be tied on all other Methodists, the truth is that the decision they have made is not binding on any Methodist Conference. "The Methodist Church, Ghana, the Methodist Church, Nigeria, and the Methodist Church any other place, apart from the United Kingdom, are not bound by this decision that the British Methodist Church has made," he explained.

GH¢450 million spent on flood control since 2017 - Asenso-Boakye

One can only imagine the value of assets that are at risk to flooding across the country,” the Minister said. Mr. Asenso-Boakye announced that the government is collaborating with the World Bank to invest more than US$200m to address solid waste and flood risk challenges in the Odaw Drainage Basin. KNUST students injured, properties destroyed as confusion hits SRC vetting
This follows a misunderstanding between some members of University Hall (Katanga) and Unity Hall, (Conti) on Sunday morning. In videos gone viral on social media, the students were seen fighting and throwing blows at each other. Members of each camp were also captured throwing chairs at their fellows at the Great Hall. The confusion occurred during the vetting of some persons for the Students Representative Council elections. When the Katangees arrived, there was some sort of confusion between them and the Continentals.

She disclosed that a social media user sent her a disheartening message, accusing her and other members of the #FixTheCountry of being the cause of Macho Kaaka's death. She claims the texter said, had it not been for their activism, Macho Kaaka would not have been beaten and killed by a mob. The other basis for her weeping is that she pictures herself in the same situation as Macho Kaaka, stating that “it could have been me."
